Paul Perez (screenwriter)
Paul Perez (born Paul Friedenberg) was an American screenwriter active primarily during the 1920s and 1930s; he wrote for both English- and Spanish-language films over the course of his career, and often worked on Westerns. He also had several credits as an actor and editor. Biography Paul was born in New York City to art dealer Robert Fridenberg and his wife, Mariam Barnett. He grew up in Manhattan near his extended family of German extraction; as a boy, he accidentally shot a nurse who was attending to his mother in their home while playing with his uncle's gun. He married England-born actress Molly O'Sullivan in the early 1920s; the pair had one son, Paul Powers Perez. While living in New York City and London, after appearing in a few acting roles and working as a newspaperman, he worked in the publicity department at Universal. Marie Pauline Garon (September 9, 1900 – August 30, 1965) was a Canadian American silent film, feature film, and stage actress. Early life Marie Pauline Garon was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on September 9, 1898, the daughter of Pierre-Auguste Garon & Victoria Connick. She was of French and Irish descent and Canadian nationality. Her father first worked for the Canadian postal department, then worked at an insurance agency, where he managed to gain enough money to send his youngest child (out of eleven children) to the ''Couvent Sacré-Coeur'' (Sacred Heart Convent) in Montreal, one of the most prestigious schools in the city. Garon attended this school for seven years. She was the first graduate of the institution to perform in the theatre. Pauline Garon did not learn English until she was ten years old. Herbert Evans (actor)
Herbert Evans (16 April 1882 – 10 February 1952) was an English film actor. He appeared in over 180 films between 1916 and 1952. Biography Evans started his acting career in 1914 at the World Film Company in Fort Lee, New Jersey. His performances include the Earl of Glenheather Castle in The Three Stooges comedy ''The Hot Scots'' and its remake '' Scotched in Scotland'', the well-meaning but clueless butler Wilkes in ''Vagabond Loafers’’ and in the ''Our Gang'' short ''Shrimps for a Day''. In addition to his work in short subjects, Evans appeared—often uncredited—in such films as ''Casablanca'', '' Strangers on a Train'', '' Annie Get Your Gun'' and ''Song of the Thin Man''.
