One Night Apart
''One Night Apart'' (german: Eine Nacht im Separee) is a 1950 West German period comedy film directed by Hans Deppe and starring Kurt Seifert, Olga Tschechowa and Sonja Ziemann.Höfig p. 95 It was shot at the Tempelhof Studios in Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art director Gabriel Pellon. Synopsis In Berlin during pre-First World War era, a highly respectable figure arrives with his friend for a conference on public morality. However he quickly loses his head over a nightclub singer he encounters. His wife, concerned about her husband's welfare, arrives in the city soon afterwards. Georg Thomalla
Georg Thomalla (14 February 1915 – 25 August 1999) was a German actor. He appeared in about one hundred fifty film and television productions between 1939 and 2000 and was widely known in Germany for his comedic roles. Thomalla was well known in Germany as a voiceover artist, dubbing particularly comedians, such as Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau in the ''Pink Panther'' movies, and he was the standard German dubbing voice of Jack Lemmon from 1955 to 1998. Thomalla dubbed Lemmon as the second musician in ''Some Like It Hot'', after having himself played the same role in the German comedy ''Fanfares of Love'' (1951), the direct predecessor to ''Some Like It Hot''. Thomalla met Lemmon at the 1996 Berlin International Film Festival, where he gave a speech in Lemmon's honor. He was awarded the German Federal Cross of Merit in 1985. Paul Hörbiger (29 April 1894 – 5 March 1981) was an Austrian theatre and film actor. Life and work Paul Hörbiger was born in the Hungarian capital Budapest, then part of Austria-Hungary, the son of engineer Hanns Hörbiger, founder of the ''Welteislehre'' cosmological concept, and elder brother of actor Attila Hörbiger. In 1902, the family returned to Vienna, while Paul attended the '' gymnasium'' (high school) at St. Paul's Abbey in Carinthia. Gretl Schörg (17 January 1914 – 4 January 2006) was an Austrian operatic soprano and actress. She was particularly known for her performances in operettas. Her signature roles included Dodo in ''Wedding Night in Paradise'', Josepha Vogelhuber in ''The White Horse Inn'', Juliette in ''Der Graf von Luxemburg'', Julischka in ''Maske in Blau'', Laura in ''Der Bettelstudent'', and Pepi in '' Wiener Blut''.
