Screen One
''Screen One'' is a British television anthology drama series, produced by the BBC and distributed by BBC Worldwide, that was transmitted on BBC One from 1989 to 1998. A total of six series were broadcast, incorporating sixty individual films, several of which were broadcast as stand-alone specials. The series was born following the demise of the BBC's ''Play for Today'', which ran from 1970 to 1984. Producer Kenith Trodd was asked to formulate a new series of one-off television dramas, the result of which was ''Screen Two'', which began broadcasting on BBC2 in 1985. However, while ''Play for Today''s style had often been a largely studio-based form of theatre on television, ''Screen Two'' was shot entirely on film. In 1989, the series was adapted for more mainstream audiences on BBC1, and ''Screen One'' was born to follow the lead taken by Channel 4, whose many television films had later been released in cinemas. Iain Robertson
Iain Robertson (born 27 May 1981) is a BAFTA award winning Scottish actor. He portrayed Lex in cult Glasgow gang film, ''Small Faces'', though Robertson is also known for his work in the long-running children's drama, ''Grange Hill'' and '' The Debt Collector'', also starring Billy Connolly. Robertson featured in Steven Spielberg's '' Band of Brothers'' and played "Gash" in the cult Scottish comedy ''Rab C. Nesbitt''. Early life Robertson grew up in a family of seven in a tenement in Govan, Glasgow. He held no thoughts of becoming an actor until a primary school teacher pointed out his talent for drama. Robertson has said: "growing up in Govan put fire in my belly, made me push harder and also appreciate the things that have come my way". At the age of 11, Robertson joined a local dramatic arts group. He set about producing his own play, co-written and directed by his friends. ''Leave This Town'' is the second album by the American rock band Daughtry, released on July 14, 2009, by RCA Records and 19 Entertainment. It is the first album that they recorded as a band, as their self-titled debut album was recorded before the band was formed and only lead singer Chris Daughtry was signed to the label. It was also their last album to feature Joey Barnes on drums. The album's style is primarily arena rock, with influences ranging from hard rock to pop rock. Three singles were released from the album, led by " No Surprise", which became the group's fourth chart topper on the ''Billboard'' Adult Top 40 chart in August 2009. All three peaked within the top 40 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and within the top five on both the Adult Top 40 and Adult Contemporary charts. ''Undiscovered'' is the debut album by English singer-songwriter James Morrison, released in the United Kingdom on 10 July 2006. In its first week, the album sold 84,611 units in the UK going straight to the top of the UK Albums Chart. By the end of 2006, the album had sold 847,135 copies in the UK and certified multi-platinum; as of 2020, its total sales count stood at over 1,500,000 units. The album enjoyed commercial success in other countries: it has been certified platinum in Australia and Ireland.
