One (Edita Abdieski Album)
''One'' is the debut studio album by Swiss singer Edita Abdieski. It was released through Sony Music on March 18, 2011 in German-speaking Europe, following her winning of the first season of the German version of the television music competition ''X Factor''. Marek Pompetzki, Paul NZA, and Cecil Remmler produced most of the album, with Jörgen Elofsson and Robert Habolin also contributing. The album earned largely mixed reviews and reached the top ten of the Swiss Albums Chart. It was preceded by lead single " I've Come to Life" which became a top ten hit in Austria and Germany. ''One'' also includes second single "The Key" as well as " The Best Thing About Me Is You," a collaboration with Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin. Edita Abdieski
Edita Abdieski (born November 14, 1984) is a Swiss pop singer. She rose to fame during the debut series of the German ''X Factor'' show, which she won in November 2010. Early life Abdieski is the eldest child born to a Macedonian Albanian father and a Montenegrin Albanian mother. Raised in Bern alongside three younger siblings, she spent much of her childhood in the Bern borough of Bümpliz-Oberbottigen, where she was enrolled at primary and secondary school. Her father died of cancer in 1992. At eleven, Abdieski became part of her first school band and by the age of thirteen, she began writing songs. After leaving school, she was trained as qualified office employee, but as she hoped to embark on a professional singing career, Abdieski enrolled at the Swiss Musical Academy in Bern – much against the wishes of her mother, who was sceptical about her daughter's ambition, prompting Abdieski to leave home and move into a girls' flat-sharing community in 2002. Andreas Carlsson (; born 3 April 1973) is a Swedish music producer and pop songwriter. Biography Carlsson was part of the Cheiron Studios team until the studio was closed down in 2000. In January 2001, former Cheiron-members Andreas Carlsson, Kristian Lundin and Jake Schulze assumed the lease of the legendary Cheiron studios. Two years later, they launched production-company The Location and publishing-company Location Songs, where writer Savan Kotecha is signed. Carlsson frequently collaborates with writers Desmond Child and Chris Braide. Eric M. Bazilian (born July 21, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer. Bazilian is a founding member of the rock band The Hooters. He wrote " One of Us", a song first recorded by Joan Osborne in 1995. Philip Thornalley (born 5 January 1960) is an English songwriter-producer who has worked in the music industry since 1978. He is perhaps best known for co-writing (with Scott Cutler and Anne Preven) the song " Torn" (made famous by Natalie Imbruglia's cover version, which he also produced) and the UK number one hits " Mama Do" and " Boys and Girls" for Pixie Lott. Sam McCarthy is a New Zealand songwriter and pop vocalist. He is best known for his work in Kids of 88 and Goodnight Nurse. Early life McCarthy was brought up in Auckland in the suburb of Weymouth. Frank Hamilton (born 4 October 1985) is an English singer, songwriter and producer living in London.
