Ondřej Sokol
Ondřej Sokol (born 16 October 1971), is a Czech director, actor, television presenter and translator. Personal life Sokol was born at Šumperk, Czechoslovakia. After studying five years at Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU) he joined a theatre in Mladá Boleslav. Three years later he moved to ''The Drama Club'' (DC) in Prague. Following a great success of ''The Lonesome West'' he received Alfréd Radok Award in category Talent of the Year and Thálie Award for a young artist up to 33 years of age. As a television presenter, he hosted all seasons of ''Tvoje tvář má známý hlas''. He is autistic. Šumperk
Šumperk (; german: Mährisch Schönberg) is a town in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 26,000 inhabitants. It is the centre of the north of Moravia and, due to its location, is known as "The Gate to the Jeseníky mountains." Etymology The original German name is a compound of an adjective "schön" (meaning "beautiful") and a noun "berg" (meaning "hill"), later supplemented by a distinguishing adjective ''Mährisch'' (= Moravian). The Czech name evolved from a direct phonetic transcription of ''Schönberg'' – "Šenberk" (schön=šen; berg=berk), later "Šumberk" and finally "Šumperk". (There are many place names with similar origins across the Czech Republic, such as Šumbark or Žumberk, also cf. Croatian Žumberak and Polish Szymbark.) American Buffalo (play)
''American Buffalo'' is a 1975 play by American playwright David Mamet that had its premiere in a showcase production at the Goodman Theatre, Chicago. After two additional showcase productions, it opened on Broadway in 1977. Plot Act I takes place at about 11 a.m. Don, who owns the junk shop where the entire play takes place, has sold a buffalo nickel to a customer for $90 but now suspects it is worth considerably more. He and his young gofer, Bob (sometimes called Bobby), plan to steal the coin back. Bob has been keeping watch on the customer's house and reports that he has left for the weekend with a suitcase. Teach, a poker buddy of Don's, arrives and learns of the scheme. He persuades Don that Bob is too inexperienced and untrustworthy for the burglary, and proposes himself as Bob's replacement. Partička
Partička was a Slovak improvisational comedy show strongly inspired by Whose Line Is It Anyway?, later brought to the Czech Republic. The Slovak edition started in 2009. Although it saw a big success with the younger generation of viewers, its ratings were never high enough for the commercial television Markíza, which broadcast the show. After several shifts with its timeslot (starting on Monday nights – moved to Saturday nights) the show ended after its fourth season on 31 December 2012. Several Slovak actors have appeared on the show including Juraj Kemka, Lukáš Latinák and Petra Polnišová. The show was later brought to the Czech television Prima, where its success slowly grew to a very popular show. Production made several tours across the Czech Republic and organized the summer festival ''Partička na Vzduchu'' starring Slovak actors as well.
