Ondine (actor)
Robert Olivo (June 16, 1937 – August 28, 1989), better known by his stage name Ondine, was an American actor. He is best known for appearing in a series of films in the mid-1960s by Andy Warhol, whom he claimed to have met in 1961 at an orgy: Ondine was the focus of Warhol's book, '' a, A Novel'', based on transcripts of Ondine and others. He appeared in films made by his lover, Roger Jacoby, ''Dream Sphinx Opera'', ''L'Amico Fried's Glamorous Friends'', and ''Kunst Life''. In later years, he supported himself by showing Warhol films and delivering a lecture on his days as a Warhol superstar on the college circuit. He died of AIDS-related liver disease in Queens, New York in 1989, aged 52. He was portrayed in the film ''I Shot Andy Warhol'' by Michael Imperioli. New Andy Warhol Garrick Theatre
The Garrick Cinema (periodically referred to as the New Andy Warhol Garrick Theatre, Andy Warhol's Garrick Cinema, Garrick Theatre, or Nickelodeon) was a 199-seat movie house at 152 Bleecker Street in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan in New York City. Andy Warhol debuted many of his notable films (including '' Bike Boy'' (1967), ''Blue Movie'' (1969), ''Flesh'' (1968), ''Lonesome Cowboys'' (1968), '' Loves of Ondine'' (1967) and others) in this building (as well as in other area theaters, including the 55th Street Playhouse) in the late 1960s. Billy Name
William George Linich (February 22, 1940 – July 18, 2016), known professionally as Billy Name, was an American photographer, filmmaker, and lighting designer. He was the archivist of The Factory from 1964 to 1970. His brief romance and subsequent friendship with Andy Warhol led to substantial collaboration on Warhol's work, including his films, paintings, and sculptures. Linich became Billy Name among the clique known as the Warhol superstars. He was responsible for "silverizing" Warhol's New York studio, the Factory, where he lived until 1970. His photographs of the scene at the Factory and of Warhol are important documents of the pop art era. In 2001, the United States Postal Service used one of Billy Name's portraits of Warhol when it issued a commemorative stamp of the artist. Name also collaborated with Shepard Fairey with his photograph of Nico, singer with the Velvet Underground and part of the social circle of Warhol's Factory.
