Once Upon A Time Windaria
, also called ''Legend of Fabulous Battle Windaria'' and ''Once Upon a Time'', is a Japanese animated film produced by Kaname Productions and Idol. The film was directed by Kunihiko Yuyama in his directorial debut, and written by Keisuke Fujikawa. It was released theatrically in Japan on July 19, 1986. Plot The mountainous kingdom of Paro and the coastal city-state of Itha had been at peace for over a century. They would have remained that way but for the ambitions of Paro's power-hungry king. Paro invaded Itha, despite the love between Jill, Paro's prince, and Ahanas, Itha's princess. Caught between duty and emotion, the star-crossed lovers were forced to fight a war to its bitter conclusion. Kunihiko Yuyama
is a Japanese director best known for his work on the ''Pokémon'' anime franchise. He also directed ''Magical Princess Minky Momo'', '' Leda: The Fantastic Adventure of Yohko'', ''The Three Musketeers Anime'', ''Ushio and Tora'', '' Kimagure Orange Road: Summer's Beginning'', ''Plawres Sanshiro'', ''Slayers Return'', ''Slayers Great'', and ''Wedding Peach''. is a Japanese ''tokusatsu'' science fiction television series created by Eiji Tsuburaya. It is a follow-up to '' Ultra Q'', though not technically a sequel or spin-off. Eiji Tsuburaya's production company, Tsuburaya Productions, produced 39 episodes (40, counting the pre-premiere special) that aired on Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS) and its affiliate stations from July 17, 1966, to April 9, 1967. Its premiere topped the average rating set by ''Ultra Q'' and kept climbing each week, marking the show as a success. Although ''Ultraman'' is the first series to feature an Ultraman character, it is the second installment in the Ultra Series, following ''Ultra Q''.
