Once Municipal
Club Deportivo Once Municipal was a Salvadoran football team from Ahuachapán that last competed in the Primera División, the premier division of Football in El Salvador, in 2018. It was nicknamed "''The Canarian Tank"'', and its home stadium was Estadio Simeón Magaña, which has a capacity of 5,000. Founded in 1945 and dissolved in 2022 History Foundation and early years Once Municipal was founded on 20 August 1945 by Salvador Marinero, who arrived in Ahuachapán from San Vicente in 1946. He was the owner of a factory in Ahuachapán. After discussing the venture with his neighbors, he put together a football team to play in El Salvador's second division. Estadio Simeón Magaña
Estadio Simeón Magaña is a multi-use stadium in Ahuachapán Department, El Salvador. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Once Deportivo. Once Municipal hierarchy decided to try to secure their own field so they turned to Arturo Simeón Magaña who owned the land around cancha El Zapotón where Once Municipal played. Simeón Magaña Decided to donate the land on condition it could be the pride of Ahuachapán. Construction began in October 1972 and finished 30 March 1974. Once Deportivo De Ahuachapan
Once Deportivo de Ahuachapan is a Salvadoran professional football club based in Ahuachapán, El Salvador. The club was founded on 20 July 2019, and plays its home games at Estadio Simeón Magaña. History On July 20, 2019, Primera Division awarded a new license to ownership group who wanted a team based in Ahuachapan, This came about after Pasaquina were stripped of their license and were forced to sell their spot, the new team filled the vacancy in the market created by the dissolution of Once Municipal three years earlier. On July 21, 2019, the club announced that Once Deportivo, which had previously been used as a placeholder name for the club, would be the official team name. Francisco Alejandro Bautista Portillo (born 25 January 1981) is a Panamanian footballer, who currently plays for Atlético Nacional. Club career He started his career at Sporting 89 and played for various local sides before embarking on a career abroad, playing several years in Salvadoran football. He joined Once Municipal in February 2007 and in January 2008 moved to ambitious capital club San Salvador, only to leave them for Alianza in July 2008. He returned to Panama in January 2010 to play for his first ever club Sporting San Miguelito again and later joined Second Division side Atlético Nacional.
