Adolf Winkelmann (born 10 April 1946 in Hallenberg) is a German film director, film producer and screenwriter. He is also a professor of film design (concept and design) in the department of design at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sun sets on the Earth.
