''On the Cover II'' is the ninth studio album by American punk rock band MxPx. Songs The album is a sequel to the ''On the Cover'' (1995) EP and features covers of various 1980s songs. Craig Owens of Chiodos features on the cover of Poison's "Fallen Angel". Ethan Luck of Relient K features on the cover of Queen's " Somebody to Love", as does Bryce Avary of the Rocket Summer, who performs vocals and keyboards. Emily Whitehurst of Tsunami Bomb and the Action Design features on the cover of Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is a Place on Earth". Matt Hensley of Flogging Molly features on the cover of Dead Milkmen's "Punk Rock Girl". Release In December 2008, the band said that the album would be released in March 2009. MxPx () is an American pop punk band from Bremerton, Washington, founded in 1992 as Magnified Plaid. As of 2016, current members include Mike Herrera on lead vocals and bass guitar, Yuri Ruley on drums and percussion, Tom Wisniewski on lead guitar and backing vocals and Chris Adkins on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. The band's discography includes twelve studio albums, four EPs, four compilation albums, a live album, a VHS tape, a DVD and 20 singles. Emily Whitehurst
Emily Grace Whitehurst (born July 23, 1979), also known as Agent M, is an American singer, songwriter, composer, musician, and record producer. In 1998, she began her music career by fronting the punk rock band Tsunami Bomb. After Tsunami Bomb disbanded in 2005, she co-founded and fronted the Action Design; a rock group. Since 2012, Whitehurst has been working on her synth-driven, indie pop project, Survival Guide. Career Whitehurst joined Tsunami Bomb in 1998 after the departure of original vocalist Kristin McRory. Whitehurst adopted the stage name Agent M at this time, and used it throughout her stay in the band. In 2000, Tsunami Bomb signed to Tomato Head Records and released their debut EP '' The Invasion from Within!''. Their first full-length CD, ''The Ultimate Escape'', followed in 2002. "Punk Rock Girl" is a song by American rock band the Dead Milkmen. It was the first single released from the band's fourth album ''Beelzebubba'' (1988). Released in December 1988, the track was primarily composed by guitarist and vocalist Joe Genaro and bassist Dave Schulthise, though it is credited to all four band members. The idea behind the song was to create a punk rock nursery rhyme; as such, it is a simple love song, written from the perspective of a sheltered boy dreaming of a rowdy, delinquent girlfriend. The Dead Milkmen is an American punk rock band formed in 1983 in Philadelphia. Their original lineup consisted of vocalist and keyboardist Rodney Linderman ("Rodney Anonymous"), guitarist and vocalist Joe Genaro ("Joe Jack Talcum"), bassist Dave Schulthise ("Dave Blood") and drummer Dean Sabatino ("Dean Clean").
