Charles Hutchison
Charles Hutchison (December 3, 1879 – May 30, 1949) was an American film actor, director and screenwriter. He appeared in more than 40 films between 1914 and 1944. He also directed 33 films between 1915 and 1938. Though he directed numerous independent silent features, he is best remembered today as Pathé's leading male serial star from 1918 to 1922. In 1923 he went to Britain and made two films ''Hutch Stirs 'em Up'' and ''Hurricane Hutch in Many Adventures'' for the Ideal Film Company. He made one last serial in 1926, ''Lightning Hutch'', for distribution by the Arrow Film Corporation. It was meant to be a comeback vehicle, but the production company went into bankruptcy just as it was released. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died in Hollywood, California. He was the person who convinced actor Karl Dane to return to films in the mid-1920s. Wilfred Van Norman Lucas (January 30, 1871 – December 13, 1940) was a Canadian American stage actor who found success in film as an actor, director, and screenwriter. Early life Lucas was born in Norfolk County, Ontario on January 30, 1871,US Passport Application July 17, 1917 (Wilfred Lucas) most likely in the township of Townsend where at the time his father served as a Wesleyan Methodist minister. He was the youngest of three sons to be raised by Daniel Lucas and the former E. Adeline Reynolds, in Townsend and later Montreal, Quebec. Lincoln Stedman
Lincoln Stedman (May 18, 1907 – March 22, 1948) was an American silent film actor. Biography Stedman was born in Denver, Colorado, the only child to Marshall Stedman and silent film beauty Myrtle Stedman. Stedman had a career in films dating back to his boyhood in silent films with his parents. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1917 and 1934. Overweight as a teenager, Stedman resembled Roscoe Arbuckle which allowed him to convincingly play adult roles far beyond his years in real life. He was married to Carol Rohe Stedman. One month before his death of a heart-ailment, his daughter Loretta Myrtle Stedman was born. Lincoln Stedman died in Los Angeles, California and was buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles. Betty Francisco (born Elizabeth Barton; September 26, 1900 – November 25, 1950) was an American silent-film actress, appearing primarily in supporting roles. Her sisters Evelyn and Margaret were also actresses. Early years Francisco was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. As a child, she acted in stock theater companies. When she was older, she became an artists' model. Career Francisco is credited in more than 50 films from 1920 to 1934, after which it appears she retired from motion picture acting. Her first film credit was in the 1920 film ''A Broadway Cowboy''. Eddie Phillips (August 14, 1899 – February 22, 1965) was an American actor. He appeared in 180 films between 1913 and 1952. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died in a traffic accident in Hollywood, California. He started as a child actor and during his career also amassed an extensive list of Broadway and television musical credits; once performing in the Soviet Union. Phillips is prominently featured on the 1960 revival cast recording of '' Oh, Kay!'' in the title song and "Fidgety Feet." Helen Lynch
Helen Lynch (April 6, 1900 – March 2, 1965) was an American silent film actress, mainly known for her roles playing gun molls and other morally dubious characters. Biography Lynch was born in 1900 in Billings, Montana, where she was also raised. When she was one year old, her father died, and Lynch was raised along with her sister, Agnes, by their mother, Christian Fraser. When she was 9 years old, the family relocated to Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood, California, which at the time was a small suburb of Los Angeles situated amongst orchards. After working as a film extra, Lynch was chosen as one of thirteen WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1923. During her career, she was mostly cast in comedies, and often portrayed gun molls and other controversial female characters.
