''On Our Own'' is an American sitcom broadcast Sundays at 8:30 pm (EST) on CBS as part of their 1977–78 United States network television schedule, 1977–78 schedule. It featured Lynnie Greene as Maria Bonino and Bess Armstrong as Julia Peters, two employees in the Bedford Advertising Agency in New York City who also share an apartment. Toni McBain (Gretchen Wyler) was their boss, while April Baxter (Dixie Carter) and Phil Goldstein were their coworkers. The show aired from October 9, 1977, until April 30, 1978. ''On Our Own'' is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from September 13, 1994 until April 14, 1995. The series stars Ralph Louis Harris and six real life siblings: Jazz, Jocqui, Jake, Jojo, Jurnee, and Jussie Smollett. The series was created and executive produced by David W. Duclon, one of the executive producers of ''Family Matters''. The series was also produced by Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, who developed the show. Suzanne de Passe (who also executive produced '' Sister, Sister'' and later ''Smart Guy'') and Suzanne Coston were additional executive producers, with Duclon's longtime colleague Gary Menteer acting as co-executive producer (who also was a producer/writer on ''Family Matters'', to which he returned when ''On Our Own'' was canceled). ''On Our Own'' is a 1988 made-for-television road drama film, directed and produced by Lyman Dayton, and co-written by Dayton and Eric Hendershot. Synopsis After the death of their mother, siblings Mitch, Kate, Travis, and Lori Robbins go to the Los Angeles Courthouse with their neighbor, Mrs. Forsythe. She tells the judge they have no family and that she is unable to take them in. Kate tells the Judge and a social worker that they have an Uncle Jack, but they don't believe Kate and the Judge decides to put them in a foster home until they get adopted. In the foster home, they are told Lori is going to be adopted. Refusing to be split up, they make a plan to run away. They escape to their old home where Mitch collects all the money he can find—9 dollars—and his Uncle Jack's address, knowing Jack will know where their father is.
