''On'' is the third EP by English electronic musician Aphex Twin, released on 15 November 1993 by Warp. ''On Remixes'', featuring remixes by James, Reload and μ-Ziq, was released on the same day. The single peaked at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. Track listing The Sire Records (US) version of ''On'' contains only "On", "73-Yips", and "Xepha" with early fade-outs, followed by the Reload Mix of "On", and it is housed in an Ecopak case instead of the standard slimline jewel case in which the Warp (UK) release was packaged. The "D-Scape Mix", in actuality a remix of "D-Scape" from ''On'', features mostly harsh sucking noises. Music video The music video for the title track was directed by Jarvis Cocker and Martin Wallace, and features a stop-motion sequence filmed on a beach involving numerous props (including an old fashioned diving suit and a cardboard cutout of James), and images of the tide. Richard David James (born 18 August 1971), best known as Aphex Twin, is an Irish-born British musician, composer and DJ. He is known for his idiosyncratic work in electronic music, electronic styles such as techno, ambient music, ambient, and jungle music, jungle. Journalists from publications including ''Mixmag'', ''The New York Times'', ''NME'', ''Fact (UK magazine), Fact,'' ''Clash (magazine), Clash'' and ''The Guardian'' have called James one of the most influential or important artists in contemporary electronic music. ''The Videos 1989–2004'' is a video album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on DVD in December 2006. It features all of the band's videos from 1989 to 2004. In its first week of release, the DVD sold 28,000 copies. The menus of the DVD play excerpts of different Metallica songs, including "The Outlaw Torn" (''Load''), "My Friend of Misery" (''Metallica''), " Bleeding Me" (''Load''), "Carpe Diem Baby" ('' Reload'') and "Prince Charming" (''Reload''). The disc has been released by Warner Bros. Records, although this is not mentioned anywhere except for the packaging and on the label of the disc itself. Copyright is given to Elektra Entertainment and E/M Ventures in the liner notes and the end credits of the DVD. Computer graphics deals with generating images with the aid of computers. Today, computer graphics is a core technology in digital photography, film, video games, cell phone and computer displays, and many specialized applications. A great deal of specialized hardware and software has been developed, with the displays of most devices being driven by computer graphics hardware. Wirral (; ), known locally as The Wirral, is a peninsula in North West England. The roughly rectangular peninsula is about long and wide and is bounded by the River Dee to the west (forming the boundary with Wales), the River Mersey to the east, and the Irish Sea to the north. West Kirby is a resort town on the north-west corner of the Wirral Peninsula in Merseyside, England, at the mouth of the River Dee, Wales, River Dee. Hilbre Island
The Hilbre Islands ( ) are an archipelago consisting of three islands at the mouth of the estuary of the River Dee, the border between England and Wales at this point. The islands are administratively part of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. They are a Local Nature Reserve and are within the estuary Site of Special Scientific Interest. As of 2012, the islands have no permanent residents. The name is thought to derive from a chapel built on the Island and dedicated to St. Hildeburgh. During the summer months tourists travel by foot to the Islands from West Kirby. Origin of the name Hilbre Island's name derives from the dedication of a medieval chapel built on the island to St. Hildeburgh, an Anglo-Saxon holy woman, after which it became known as ''Hildeburgheye'' or Hildeburgh's island. Stop motion is an animated filmmaking technique in which objects are physically manipulated in small increments between individually photographed frames so that they will appear to exhibit independent motion or change when the series of frames is played back. Any kind of object can thus be animated, but puppets with movable joints (puppet animation) or plasticine figures (''clay animation'' or claymation) are most commonly used. Puppets, models or clay figures built around an armature are used in model animation. Stop motion with live actors is often referred to as pixilation. Jarvis Branson Cocker (born 19 September 1963) is an English musician and radio presenter. As the founder, frontman, lyricist and only consistent member of the band Pulp, he became a figurehead of the Britpop genre of the mid-1990s. Following Pulp's hiatus, Cocker has pursued a solo career, and for seven years he presented the BBC Radio 6 Music show ''Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service''. Cocker gained international attention when he invaded the stage at the 1996 Brit Awards during a performance by Michael Jackson.
