Rolando Figueroa
Rolando Ceferino Figueroa (born 14 April 1969) is an Argentine politician, currently serving as a Governor of Neuquén Province since 10 December 2023. Hepreviously served as National Deputy elected in Neuquén. A member of the regionalist Neuquén People's Movement party until 2022, Figueroa was elected in 2021 and currently sits in the Provincias Unidas inter-bloc. Figueroa previously served as Vice Governor of Neuquén from 2015 to 2019, under Governor Omar Gutiérrez. Prior to that, he was mayor of Chos Malal from 2011 to 2015, and a member of the Legislature of Neuquén from 2007 to 2011. He was elected governor in the April 2023 provincial elections. Jorge Augusto Sapag (b. July 18, 1951) is an Argentine politician and lawyer, a member of the Neuquino People's Movement (MPN) and governor of Neuquén Province in Argentina since 2007. Born in Zapala, Neuquén Province, Jorge Sapag is a member of a prominent family in the politics of Neuquén Province. Neuquén (; arn, Nehuenken) is the capital city of the Argentine province of Neuquén and of the Confluencia Department, located in the east of the province. The Neuquén People's Movement ( es, Movimiento Popular Neuquino, MPN) is a Peronist provincial political party in Neuquén, Argentina. The party was founded by, amongst others, Carlos Sobisch, Elías Sapag, Felipe Sapag and his brothers, Peronists who had been discriminated against by the military government. It began on 4 June 1961 and has held the Neuquén governorship and many of the local and national legislative positions since then. At the legislative elections on October 23, 2005, the party won two of the 127 elected national deputies (out of 257).
