The Oman Football Association ( ar, الاتحاد العُماني لكرة القدم) is the governing body of football in Oman. It was founded in 1978, has been a member of the Asian Football Confederation and of FIFA since 1980. History The first football club of the Sultanate (documented as such) was the Maqboul Club, founded in 1942, known today as the Oman Club. In the 1970s, Qaboos bin Said al Said favored the development of sports events and associations, which led in 1978 to the creation of the Omani Football Association with Sayyid / Haitham bin Tariq Al Said (Minister of National Heritage and Culture and in 2020, the successor to Qaboos as Sultan) as its first president. Jalal Khamis Rabia Al-Sinani commonly known as Jalal Al-Sinani ( ar, جلال خميس ربيعة السناني; born 17 November 1986) is an Omani footballer who plays for Quriyat Club in Oman Second Division League. International career Jalal is part of the first team squad of the Oman national beach soccer team. He was selected for the national team for the first time in 2011. Asian Beach Games He has made appearances in the 2010 Asian Beach Games, the 2012 Asian Beach Games and the 2014 Asian Beach Games. In the 2010 edition, which was played in his hometown Muscat, Oman, he scored a brace in a 7-2 win over Syria, another brace in a 6-4 win over Athletes from Kuwait and another brace in a 9-4 win over Indonesia thus helping his side to qualify for the quarter-finals and taking his goals tally to 6 goals. The 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, the premier international beach soccer championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the seventh edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Overall, this was the 17th edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' which ran from 1995–2004 but was not governed by FIFA. It took place from 18–28 September 2013 at Tahua To'ata Stadium (Stade Tahua To'ata) in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia and was the fourth tournament to have taken place outside Brazil. The 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the sixth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, governed by FIFA. Overall, this was the 16th edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' which ran from 1995–2004 but was not governed by FIFA. FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup
The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is an international beach soccer competition contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was preceded by the ''Beach Soccer World Championships'' established in 1995 which took place every year for the next decade under the supervision of Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) and its predecessors. FIFA joined hands with BSWW in 2005 to take over the organization of the competition, re-branding it as an official FIFA tournament.
