Om Prakash Sakhlecha
Om Prakash Sakhlecha, is an Indian politician and elected member (MLA) from Jawad Vidhan Sabha constituency, district Neemuch in Madhya Pradesh state. In June 2020 he was appointed Cabinet Minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government which formed in Madhya Pradesh after Jyotiraditya Scindia along with his 22 MLAs rebelled against Congress and toppled Kamalnath Government. Currently he is Minister for MSME Sector and Minister of Science and Technology under Shivraj Singh Chouhan govt. He is member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Biography Mr. Sakhlecha was born on 3 October 1958, to Virendra Kumar Sakhlecha and Chetan Sakhlecha. He graduated from Delhi University in Commerce in 1979. Jawad is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India. Neemuch
Neemuch or Nimach is a town in the malwa region. Neemuch crowns the north western part of MP. It has been also referred to city of Nature and Peace. The town shares its northwestern border with the state of Rajasthan and is the administrative headquarters of Neemuch District. Formerly a large British cantonment of Gwalior princely state, in 1822 the town became the headquarters of the combined Rajputana–Malwa political agency and of the Malwa Agency in 1895. The British Cantonment was disbanded in 1932 after which it was maintained by a British Municipal Board. Etymology A number of myths surround the name Neemuch. One is that the city received its name because of the large number of Neem trees found here. Shivraj Singh Chouhan (born 5 March 1959), is an Indian politician and member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is the 17th and current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, having been elected to the same position 3 times in the past, and a Member of Legislative Assembly in Madhya Pradesh from Budhni. Virendra Kumar Sakhlecha (4 March 1930 – 31 May 1999) was an Indian politician who served as the 10th Chief Minister Of Madhya Pradesh from 18 January 1978 to 19 January 1980. He was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He hailed from Mandsaur district. Career Sakhlecha was born on 4 March 1930. He came close to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at a tender age and joined Sangh in 1945. He was made Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1962 by Kushabhau Thakre when Jana Sangh won 41 MLAs to the 288-seat assembly.
