APS Olympiacos Patras (Greek.: Α.Π.Σ. Ολυμπιακός Πατρών ''A.P.S Olympiakos Patron'') is a sports club in Patras, playing association football and volleyball. The team plays with the Achaia Football Clubs Association, EPS Achaias and the Hellenic Football Federation, EPO number 1788. Logo The logo is the same as Olympiacos in Piraeus in suburban Athens. Field In 1926, refugees from Asia Minor bought several fields and built a stadium for Olympiacos where it still has the name Prosfygika Stadium and is the third oldest field in Greece after Karaiskaki Stadium, Karaiskaki and Leoforos Alexandras (Kypseli (stadium), Kypseli. The team was founded in 1927, nearly two years after the construction, with the game with Olympiacos Petralona which won 4–1. Prosfygika Stadium
Prosfygika Stadium ( el, Γήπεδο Προσφυγικών, ''Gipedo Prosfygikon'') is a football (soccer) stadium in Patras, Greece. It is named after its first Greek refugees, refugees that arrived from Asia Minor in 1922, a region now part of Turkey, following the Greco-Turkish Population Exchange. From 1925, it is used for the teams Thyella Patras F.C., Thyella, AS Apollo and Olympiakos Patras F.C., Olympiacos and Aris (Patras), Aris. From 1923, after the creation of Olympiacos, the stadium was constructed with owned properties inside the residents of the refugees near Agia Foteini. The construction were all straws which cleaned the refugees and their face of work became a field in which it is the oldest in Patras and one of the oldest in Greece, the stadium of Olympiacos (no relation of Olympiacos in Piraeus but it has the same logo) which said until 1964 the stadium became a part of the EPS Achaia. Patras ( el, Πάτρα, Pátra ; Katharevousa and grc, Πάτραι; la, Patrae) is Greece's List of cities in Greece, third-largest city and the regional capital of Western Greece, in the northern Peloponnese, west of Athens.
