The football rivalry between Olympiacos and PAOK is considered the fiercest intercity rivalry in Greece and a large number of games between the two football teams have been stigmatized by nasty incidents. Penalty Kick (association Football)
A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Procedure The ball is placed on the penalty mark, regardless of where in the penalty area the foul occurred. The player taking the kick must be identified to the referee. Only the kicker and the defending team's goalkeeper are allowed to be within the penalty area; all other players must be within the field of play, outside the penalty area, behind the penalty mark, and a minimum of 9.15m (10 yd) from the penalty mark (this distance is denoted by the penalty arc). Julio Losanta
Julio Daniel Losada (born 16 June 1950 in Uruguay) is a former Uruguayan footballer most notable for his time spent at Greek club Olympiacos. He also played for C.A. Peñarol. At the age of 22, he made the trip to Piraeus and joined Olympiakos as yet another superstar of the Goulandris era. President of the club at the time, Goulandris was noted for signing star players; Losada being one of the largest. Together with teammate and French International striker Yves Triantafillos, Losada created one of the greatest attacking lines in Olympiacos history. Small in height, Losada was fierce from the right wing and quickly became a legend to the Olympiacos fans, who he played in front of for 8 seasons. Michalis Kritikopoulos
Michalis Kritikopoulos ( el, Μιχάλης Κρητικόπουλος; 3 January 1946 – 20 July 2002) was a Greek professional footballer who played as a striker. Career Born in Kaisariani, Kritikopoulosa began playing football as a striker for local side G.S. Kaisariani in 1962. In 1964, he joined Ethnikos Piraeus F.C., where he would play for nine seasons. In 1973, Kritikopoulosa joined Olympiacos where he played until 1980, winning three Alpha Ethniki and one Greek Football Cup titles. He finished his career with Apollon Athens F.C., retiring in 1981 at age 35. All told, Kritikopoulos scored 175 league goals making him one of the league's all-time leading goal-scorers. Peter Persidis
Peter Persidis (8 March 1947 – 21 January 2009) was an international Austrian footballer. Career His father Kostas Persidis was also a footballer in Greece. He played at Proodeftiki F.C. (1937-1939) and Aris Piraeous (1943-1944). Persidis started his professional career at First Vienna, than returned to his father's home country in the early 1970s, and went on to win three Greek titles with Olympiacos prior to returning to Vienna in 1975 to play for SK Rapid Wien. Neto Guerino
Guerino Minervino Neto (born 24 March 1950 in São Paulo), commonly known as Neto Guerino, is a Brazilian former football player who played as a striker. Guerino played for Clube Atlético Mineiro and Nacional Futebol Clube in the Campeonato Brasileiro, before moving abroad to play in Greece. He had a very successful career in Greece and specifically Thessaloniki, playing there for almost thirteen years. Giorgos Koudas ( el, Γιώργος Κούδας; born 23 November 1946) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He spent his entire career in PAOK. Stefanos Borbokis
Stefanos Borbokis ( el, Στέφανος Μπορμπόκης; born 1 September 1966) is a Greek former footballer. He is the brother of Vassilis Borbokis who also played for PAOK FC. Club career Borbokis began his career at PAOK FC in 1986 and became an influential part of the team playing 214 Alpha Ethniki games and scoring 32 goals. The 1987/88 season was by far his best season scoring 10 goals helping PAOK finish 3rd.
