Olympiacos Football Club are a Greek professional association football club based in Piraeus, Attica, who currently play in the Super League Greece. They have played at their current home ground, Karaiskaki, since their foundation in 1925. Olympiacos entered the E.P.S. Piraeus in their first season, winning the league 3 times in a row 1925–1928. Olympiacos was founded on March 10, 1925, in the port of Piraeus, when the members of Peiraikos Podosfairikos Omilos (Sport and Football Club of Piraeus) decided, during a historical assembly, to dissolve the two clubs in order to establish a unified new one, with an emblem depicting the profile of an Ancient Olympic Games winner. Kyriakos Karataidis
Kyriakos Karataidis ( el, Κυριάκος Καραταΐδης; born 4 July 1965) is a former Greek football player. He played for Olympiacos, as well as for the national side. Career Born in Oinoi, Kastoria, Karataidis began playing senior club football with Flatsata Oinois in 1981, and joined Kastoria F.C. one year later in 1982. In 1988, Karataidis would join Olympiacos F.C., the club he would play for until he retired in 2001. He won five consecutive Alpha Ethniki and three Greek Football Cup titles with Olympiacos. Kostas Fortounis
Konstantinos 'Kostas' Fortounis ( gr, Κωνσταντίνος 'Κώστας' Φορτούνης, ; born 16 October 1992) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for Super League club Olympiacos and the Greece national team. He was born in Trikala, Thessaly but comes from the nearby village of Sarakina, close to the town of Kalabaka. Kostas Mitroglou
Konstantinos "Kostas" Mitroglou ( el, Κωνσταντίνος "Κώστας" Μήτρογλου, ; born 12 March 1988) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a striker. He is nicknamed "Mitrogoal" and "Pistolero" by fans due to his goalscoring abilities. Raised in Germany, Mitroglou started his career at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he established himself as an excellent prospect. He was signed by Olympiacos in the summer of 2007 and had two loan spells at Panionios and Atromitos before establishing himself in the team. He transferred to Premier League club Fulham in 2013 for a club record £12 million, and they were relegated in his only season, in which he was troubled by injury. Youssef El-Arabi
Youssef El-Arabi (; born 3 February 1987) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Greek Super League club Olympiacos and the Morocco national team. He began his career with hometown club Caen in Ligue 1, making his debut in 2008. After a season in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal he signed for La Liga club Granada for a club record €5 million in 2012. He scored 45 goals in 134 official games before leaving for Al-Duhail in 2016. Giovanni Silva De Oliveira
Giovanni Silva de Oliveira (born 4 February 1972), better known as Giovanni, is a Brazilian football manager and former player. He played as either an attacking midfielder or a forward. At club level, Giovanni most notably played for Spanish side Barcelona, Greek side Olympiacos, and Brazilian club Santos. Internationally, he played for the Brazilian national team, gaining 18 caps and scoring 6 goals; he was part of the Brazilian team that reached the 1998 FIFA World Cup Final. Nikos Anastopoulos
Nikos Anastopoulos ( el, Νίκος Αναστόπουλος; born 22 January 1958) is a Greek former footballer who was one the most prolific strikers in the Greek league during the 1980s and widely regarded as one of the best strikers in the history of Greek football. With 29 goals he is the all-time top scorer for the Greece national football team. Georgios Amanatidis ( el, Γεώργιος Αμανατίδης; born 4 April 1970) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a defender. Playing career Amanatidis was captain of the Greek side Olympiacos F.C., and a member of the team which reached 7 Greek Championships successively (1997–2003). Giorgos Sideris ( el, Γιώργος Σιδέρης, born 5 April 1938-) is a Greek former Association football, footballer, who played as striker (association football), striker. Dimitrios Mavrogenidis ( el, Δημήτριος Μαυρογενίδης; born 23 December 1976) is a retired Greek football right-back.
