Oluyemi Adeniji
Ambassador Oluyemi Adeniji (22 July 1934 – 27 November 2017 in London) was a Nigerian career diplomat and politician who was the Special Representative of the General Secretary with the United Nations Mission in Sierra Leone (UNAMSIL) from November 19, 1999 to July 16, 2003. Later he was Foreign Minister of Nigeria from July 2003 to June 2006, then Internal Affairs Minister from 21 June 2006 to May 2007. Diplomatic career Adeniji had a degree in History. He joined the Nigerian Foreign Service in July 1960. He served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nigerian embassies in Washington, D.C., Freetown, Sierra Leone, and Accra, Ghana. Oluyemi Fagbamila (born 23 February 1983) is a retired Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres. With Nigerian 4 × 400 metres relay teams she won a silver medal at the 2002 African Championships and was selected for the 2003 World Championships, but the team ended up not starting the race. Individually she finished eighth at the 2002 World Junior Championships. She previously competed at the 1999 World Youth Championships (100 and 200 m) without reaching the final. Oluyemi Kayode
Oluyemi Kayode (7 July 1968 – 1 October 1994) was a Nigerian sprinter. Kayode won the silver medal in 4 x 100 m relay at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain, together with teammates Chidi Imoh, Olapade Adeniken and Davidson Ezinwa. He also won a silver medal in 200 metres at the 1993 African Championships and was Nigerian national champion on that distance in 1993 and 1994 respectively. Oluyemi Oluleke Osinbajo (born 8 March 1957) is a Nigerian lawyer, professor, and politician who is the 14th and current Vice President of Nigeria since 2015. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he previously served as Attorney General of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 and holds the title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In April 2022, he announced his intention to run for the APC nomination for President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential election. Oluyemi Thomas (born August 16, 1952) is a free jazz bass clarinetist and saxophonist. Thomas was born in Detroit, Michigan. He began playing clarinet as a child, and was exposed to the music of Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Dizzy Gillespie, and Duke Ellington by his parents. He attended Washtenaw College in Ann Arbor Township, Michigan, studying engineering and music, and receiving an Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, then worked for Bechtel. In 1974, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was employed by a construction company and became involved with the music scene. During this time, he met his future wife and musical partner, the poet Ijeoma Chinue Thomas, who was visiting from Washington, D.C.. Thomas moved to D.C. to join her, and the couple soon married before moving back to the west coast, settling in Oakland.
