Olu Jacobs
Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, (born 11 July 1942), known professionally as Olu Jacobs, is a Nigerian actor and film executive. He has starred in several British television series and international films. Olu Jacobs has been hailed by many as one of the greatest and most widely respected African actors of his generation. Together with Pete Edochie, he is considered by several media, film commentators, critics, and other actors to be one of the most influential African actors of all time, and is widely regarded as a cultural icon. He is seen as the bridge between the old Actors and the new ones. Jacobs has made his mark in Nigeria's movie industry, Nollywood. Kano (city)
Kano (Ajami: كانو) is a city in northern Nigeria and the capital of Kano State. It is the second largest city in Nigeria after Lagos, with over four million citizens living within ; located in the Savanna, south of the Sahel, Kano is a major route of the trans-Saharan trade. John Irvin
John Irvin (born 7 May 1940) is an English film director. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland, he began his career by directing a number of documentaries and television works, including the BBC adaptation of John le Carré's ''Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy''. He made several Hollywood films in the 1980s, including '' The Dogs of War'' (1980), ''Ghost Story'' (1981) and ''Hamburger Hill'' (1987). Irvin is a graduate of London Film School. ''Night and Day'' is a 1978 play by Tom Stoppard. The sets and costumes were designed by Carl Toms and it ran for two years at the Phoenix Theatre (London), Phoenix Theatre in central London, UK. ''The Tomorrow People'' is a British children's science fiction television series created by Roger Price. Produced by Thames Television for the ITV Network, the series first ran from 30 April 1973 to 19 February 1979. The theme music was composed by Australian music composer, Dudley Simpson, who composed music for two BBC science fiction dramas, ''Doctor Who'' (1963) and ''Blake’s 7'' (1978). The series, created by Donald Bull, had started out as an edition of ''Drama Playhouse'' in 1972 before being commissioned as an ongoing series. ''Barlow at Large'', later ''Barlow'', is a British police procedural television programme broadcast in the 1970s, starring Stratford Johns in the title role. Johns had previously played Barlow in the ''Z-Cars'', '' Softly, Softly'' and '' Softly, Softly: Taskforce'' series on BBC television during the 1960s and early 1970s.
