Preko
Preko ( lit. "Across") is a village and a municipality in Zadar County, Croatia. It is situated, as the name suggests, opposite of Zadar, on the island of Ugljan. Its old centre consists of typical Dalmatian architecture with numerous patrician family summer houses. According to the 2011 census, there are 3,805 inhabitants, 88% which are Croats. Sitting in the mountains above Preko, is the castle of St. Michael, built by Eastern Roman empire in the 6th century. The castle was rebuilt by the Republic of Venice in the 13th century. Its main purpose was control above channel of Zadar and group of islands behind the island of Ugljan. The castle was sacked by English crusaders on their way to the Holy Land, and by the Nazis in World War II. The high position of the castle made it the perfect lookout and listening station for the occupying Germans. Today, the castle is home to a telecommunications station. Iveco LMV (Light Multirole Vehicle) is a 4WD tactical vehicle developed by Iveco, and in service with several countries. After its adoption by the Italian Army as the ''Veicolo-Tattico-Leggero-Multiruolo'' (VTLM) ''Lince'' ("Light tactical multirole vehicle Lynx"), it won the Future Command and Liaison Vehicle (FCLV) competition of the British Army as the Panther, but the fleet was put up for sale in 2018. It has been adopted by the armies of Albania, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Norway, Russia and Spain. The Italian Army took vehicles to both Afghanistan and Lebanon. ''Oltre - un mondo uomo sotto un cielo mago'', simply known as ''Oltre'', is the eleventh studio album by Italian songwriter Claudio Baglioni, released on 17 November 1990 by CBS Italiana, a subsidiary label of CBS Records International. The album is characterized by world music features and it was recorded in the Real World Studios of English songwriter Peter Gabriel and in several European recording studios. Baglioni defined the album as the first of a trilogy about time: ''Oltre'' represents the past, '' Io sono qui'' is the present and '' Viaggiatore sulla coda del tempo'' represents the future. Claudio Baglioni (; born 16 May 1951) is an Italian pop singer-songwriter and musician. His career has been going on for over 50 years. Some songs from the 70s are part of Italian culture such as ''E tu come stai?''. In the 80s he released the two best-selling albums ever in Italy ''Strada facendo'' and ''La vita è adesso''. And in the 90's he embraced World Music with records like '' Oltre'' and ''Io sono qui.'' In 2006 he composed the anthem of the 2006 Winter Olympics. Biography Around 1968 he composed the ''Annabel Lee'' musical suite, based on a poem by Edgar Allan Poe. ''Oltre'' is the solo debut EP by Italian singer Emma Marrone released by Universal Music on March 16, 2010. The album topped the charts in Italy, and was the second-best-selling album in Italy in 2010. It was subsequently certified double platinum. The lead single on the album, "Calore", was also certified platinum single, platinum. The album ranked number 85 on the Switzerland, Swiss charts. The EP was named and designed after a tattoo that Emma has on the back of her neck. The same design is visible on the disc and in the digital booklet.
