Olomouc District ( cs, okres Olomouc) is a district ('' okres'') within the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the city of Olomouc. Districts Of The Czech Republic
Districts of the Czech Republic are territorial units, formerly used as second-level administrative divisions of the Czech Republic. After their primary administrative function has been abolished in 2003, they still exist for the activities of specific authorities and as statistical units. Their administrative function was moved to selected municipalities. Establishment In 1960, Czechoslovakia was re-divided into districts ('' okres'', plural ''okresy'') often without regard to traditional division and local relationships. Grygov is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,500 inhabitants. Domašov Nad Bystřicí
Domašov nad Bystřicí (, formerly Domštát; german: Domstadtl) is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. Domašov nad Bystřicí lies approximately north-east of Olomouc and east of Prague. History The first written mention of Domašov nad Bystřicí is from 1269. The Battle of Domstadtl of the Seven Years' War took place near the village in 1758.
