Olmué
Olmué is a Chilean town and commune located in the Marga Marga Province, Valparaíso Region. The commune spans an area of . Olmué is located 42.8 miles northwest of Santiago and 42 kilometers east northeast of Valparaíso. Olmué is the site of the Olmué Festival, a folk music contest held the 3rd week of January each year. Demographics According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Olmué has 14,105 inhabitants (7,139 men and 6,966 women). Of these, 10,379 (73.6%) lived in urban areas and 3,726 (26.4%) in rural areas. The population grew by 11.9% (1,502 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses. Olmué accounts for 1.10% of the regional population. The demonym for a man from Olmué is ''Olmueíno'' and ''Olmueína'' for a woman. Olmué Festival
The Olmué Festival ( es, Festival del Huaso de Olmué) is a music festival that has been held annually during the 3rd week of February in Olmué, Central Chile. The first edition dates back to 1970 being televised for the first time in 1984. Relative to the Viña del Mar International Song Festival Olmué Festival is more oriented toward folk music. The 2021 edition was cancelled and it is possible that the same may also happen with the 2022 edition. Marga Marga Province
Marga Marga Province ( es, Provincia de Marga Marga) is one of the eight provinces in the central Chilean region of Valparaíso (V). Its capital is the city of Quilpué. History The province was created by Law 20,368 on August 25, 2009, and it became operative on March 11, 2010. Limache
Limache is a Chilean town and township in the Marga Marga Province, Valparaíso Region. Limache is the only township of Chile that has two urban areas: San Francisco de Limache on the north side of the Pelumpén stream, and Limache Viejo on the south side.
