Ollie Spencer
Oliver Spencer (April 17, 1931 – April 28, 1991) was an American National Football League (NFL) tackle and assistant coach. Hopewell is an unincorporated community in Pratt County, Kansas, United States. It is located in the Rattlesnake Creek valley roughly 18 miles northwest of Pratt at NW 140th Ave and NW 110th St. History A post office was opened in Hopewell in 1904 and closed in 1908. A post office under name Fravel then opened in Hopewell in 1916, was renamed Hopewell in 1921 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1973. From 1908-1916 and after the post office's final closure in 1973, mail to Hopewell has been routed via nearby Macksville. Geography Hopewell lies at an elevation of 2044 feet (624 m). 1960 NFL Season
The 1960 NFL season was the 41st regular season of the National Football League. Before the season, 33-year-old Pete Rozelle, the general manager of the Los Angeles Rams, was elected NFL commissioner as a compromise choice on the twenty-third ballot. Meanwhile, the league expanded to 13 teams in late January with the addition of the Dallas Cowboys, with a fourteenth team, the Minnesota Vikings, to start in . Also, the Cardinals relocated from Chicago to St. Louis and became the St. Louis Cardinals, the same moniker as the major league baseball team. In the championship game, the host Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers by four points at earlier in , both teams had finished in last place in their respective conferences, combining for only three wins.
