Oliver Tomaszczyk
Oliver Tomaszczyk (born 24 November 1986) is an English rugby union player who played for Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership where he played prop. He was educated at Merchiston Castle School and appeared for the England U18 rugby union side during 2004-2005. Having been accepted to Oxford University where he read Modern Languages, he represented Oxford University in The Varsity Match against Cambridge University in 2006. He plays as a prop and was a member of the Newcastle Falcons academy. He played for the Argentinian side Lomas Athletic in 2006. Merchiston Castle School
Merchiston Castle School is an independent boarding school for boys in the suburb of Colinton in Edinburgh, Scotland. It has around 470 pupils and is open to boys between the ages of 7 and 18 as either boarding or day pupils; it was modelled after English public schools. The Varsity Match
The Varsity Match is an annual rugby union fixture played between the universities of Oxford University RFC, Oxford and Cambridge University R.U.F.C., Cambridge in England. The event began in 1872 with the first men's match, with interruptions only for the two World Wars. Since 1921, the game has been played at Twickenham Stadium, London. It is normally played in early December. Following the 140th match in 2022, Oxford have 62 wins, and Cambridge maintain the lead with 64; 14 games have ended in draws. Varsity matches between Oxford and Cambridge are also arranged in various other sports. For example, the first recorded water polo match in history was played between Oxford and Cambridge in 1891.
