Oliver Langford
Oliver Langford is an English referee and officiates primarily in the EFL Championship. He is not in the Select Group of match officials but is, however, on the Group Two list and trained in the use of '' Video Assisted Refereeing'', which means he is qualified to take charge of an elite league match. He has been a referee since 2009. The video assistant referee (VAR) is a match official in association football who reviews decisions made by the referee. The assistant video assistant referee (AVAR) is a current or former referee appointed to assist the VAR in the video operation room. The responsibilities of the AVAR include watching the live action on the field while the VAR is undertaking a "check" or a "review", to keep a record of reviewable incidents, and to communicate the outcome of a review to broadcasters. Graham David Scott (born 10 October 1968) is an English professional football referee who officiates in the Premier League. Education He was educated at Abingdon School from 1980 until 1987 and the London School of Economics. Football career Scott played football at youth as a goalkeeper for Abingdon Town F.C. in the lower leagues. A long-term back injury was a persistent problem; fearing permanent damage, he retired from playing competitive football at the age of 27. He started refereeing in 1997, originally at lower-league level and harbouring little serious ambition of progressing to the highest echelon of football officiating.
