Oliver Fox (writer)
Oliver Fox was the pseudonym of Hugh George Callaway (30 November 1885 – 28 April 1949), an English short story writer, poet and occultist, most well known for documenting his experiences in astral projection and lucid dreaming. Fox had trained in electrical engineering and worked as an actor. He had first published his OBE experiences in '' The Occult Review'' (1920, 1923). These formed the basis of his book ''A Record of Out-of-the-Body Experiences'', published in 1939. He was inspired by the experiences of Sylvan Muldoon. 20th Century In Literature
Literature of the 20th century refers to world literature produced during the 20th century (1901 to 2000). In terms of the Euro-American tradition, the main periods are captured in the bipartite division, Modernist literature and Postmodern literature, flowering from roughly 1900 to 1940 and 1960 to 1990 respectively, divided, as a rule of thumb, by World War II. The somewhat malleable term "contemporary literature" is usually applied with a post-1960 cut off point. Theosophy (Blavatskian)
Theosophy is a religion established in the United States during the late 19th century. It was founded primarily by the Russian Helena Blavatsky and draws its teachings predominantly from Blavatsky's writings. Sylvan Muldoon
Sylvan Muldoon (February 18, 1903October 15, 1969) was an American esotericist who promoted the concept of astral projection. According to Muldoon, astral projection is an out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an astral body separate from the physical body and is capable of travelling outside it.
