Fotbal Club Olimpia MCMXXI Satu Mare, commonly known as Olimpia Satu Mare or simply as Olimpia, is a Romanian professional football club from Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, Romania, founded on 5 May 1921, re-founded in 2010 and 2018. The club played in the Liga I in the following seasons: 1937–38, 1974–75, 1975–76, 1977–78, 1978–79, 1979–80 and 1998–99. Chronology of names History The club was founded in 1921. In 1934, the club reached the quarter finals of the first ever Romanian Cup. Olimpia was placed in Liga 1 after the Romanian league system was re-structured in 1936, but the team relegated before long. After World War II, the club faced various financial challenges and did not make an appearance in Divizia A until 1974. Olimpia reached the final of the Romanian Cup in 1978 and lost to a strong Universitatea Craiova team 3–1. Liga Suporterilor Sibieni Voința Sibiu, commonly known as LSS Voința Sibiu, or simply as Voința Sibiu, is a Romanian football club from Sibiu, Sibiu County, founded in 2013 as a fan-owned phoenix club of the dissolved CSU Voința Sibiu. The club also has a women's football section. History CSU Voința continued the football tradition in Sibiu after the dissolution of FC Sibiu and FC Inter Sibiu. The club promoted from the Liga IV to the Liga I in just three seasons. However CSU Voința relegated after only one season of top football, finishing 16th in the table, with 32 points. CSM Satu Mare (football)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Satu Mare, commonly known as CSM Satu Mare, or simply as Satu Mare, is a Romanian football club based in Satu Mare, Satu Mare County, currently playing in the Liga III. This team represents the football section of the multi-sport club CSM Satu Mare, which also include basketball, volleyball and handball sections. CSM Satu Mare was established on 18 July 2007 and is fully supported by the Municipality of Satu Mare. The football section of CSM was established only in 2018, after the second dissolution of Olimpia Satu Mare and was enrolled in the Liga IV Satu Mare. Despite the promotion obtained in 2019, CSM was not accepted in the Liga III by the Romanian Football Federation, after a late payment of the financial guarantee for participation in the 2019–20 Liga III season. The 2017–18 Liga II (also known as 2017–18 Liga II Casa Pariurilor) was the 78th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 5 August 2017 and ended on 2 June 2018. A total of 20 teams contested the league. It was the second Liga II season with a single series. The season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first two teams promoted to Liga I at the end of the season and the third-placed team played a play-off match against the 12th-placed team from Liga I. The last five teams relegated to Liga III. 2014–15 Liga II
The 2014–15 Liga II was the 75th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The 23 teams were divided into two series (with 12 and 11 teams, respectively). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. The teams placed 7th to 12th played in a Relegation play-out. The first team in each series was promoted at the end of the season to the Liga I, and the teams placed below the 10th place were relegated to the Liga III.
