Olga Sokolovskaya
Olga Borisovna Sokolovskaya (russian: Ольга Борисовна Соколовская, born 26 July 1991) is a Ukrainian-born Russian basketball defender. She was part of the Russian team that won the silver medal at the 2011 European Junior Championships. As a senior, she competed with WBC Dynamo Novosibirsk in the EuroCup in 2011–2014. Her elder sister Irina is an Olympic basketball player, and her father Boris is a national basketball coach. WBC Dynamo-Ministry of Internal Affairs (Russia), GUVD Novosibirsk (''ЖБК «Динамо-ГУВД» Новосибирск'') is a Russian women's basketball club, currently competing in the Russian Women's Basketball Premier League. Founded in 1955 as Burevestnik Novosibirsk, it was transferred into the Dynamo Sports Club, Dynamo SS in 1966. The team rose into the European elite in the second half of the 1980s, winning the 1985-86 Ronchetti Cup and three Soviet Women's Basketball Championship, Soviet Championships in a row until 1988. Dynamo reached the final of the EuroLeague Women, European Cup in 1987 and 1988, losing both times to AS Vicenza. Boris Sokolovsky
Boris Ilyich Sokolovsky (russian: Бори́с Ильи́ч Соколóвский, born 9 December 1953) is a Russian professional basketball coach and former basketball player. Since 1986, he has worked as an assistant coach, first with the Soviet, and then with the Russian men's and women's national basketball teams. In 2009, he was named the best women's basketball coach in Russia. Club playing career Sokolovsky played basketball with several Soviet clubs, from 1971 to 1979.
