Olga Pashchenko (russian: Ольга Пащенко) (born 1986) is a Russian harpsichordist, fortepianist, organist and pianist who has performed in concert halls in Moscow and other cities of Russia, Belarus, Italy, USA, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands and has won several major international competitions. Biography Pashchenko was born in Moscow and started playing the piano at the age of six. She entered the Gnessin State Musical College, Gnessin School in Moscow at the age of seven and gave her first piano recital in New York City at the age of nine. After graduating from the Gnessin School with honors she entered the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she studied with Alexei Lubimov (piano), Olga Martynova (harpsichord and fortepiano), and Alexei Shmitov (organ) and graduated in 2010. A harpsichordist is a person who plays the harpsichord. Harpsichordists may play as soloists, as accompanists, as chamber musicians, or as members of an orchestra, or some combination of these roles. Solo harpsichordists may play unaccompanied sonatas for harpsichord or concertos accompanied by orchestra. Accompanist harpsichordists might accompany singers or instrumentalists (e.g., a violinist or Baroque flute player), either playing works written for a voice (or an instrument) and harpsichord or an orchestral reduction of the orchestra parts. Richard Egarr
Richard Egarr (born 7 August 1963) is a British conductor and keyboard player. Biography Born in Lincoln, Egarr received his early musical training as a choirboy at York Minster and at Chetham's School of Music. He was an organ scholar at Clare College, Cambridge and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Study with Gustav Leonhardt further inspired his work in the field of historically informed performance. Egarr is widely known as a specialist in the baroque repertoire, but has performed repertoire over a wide historical era, from fifteenth-century organ intabulations to Dussek and Chopin on early pianos, to Berg and Maxwell Davies on modern piano. He has recorded commercially several albums of solo keyboard music for such labels as Harmonia Mundi, as well as chamber repertoire for such labels as Hyperion. The International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition (german: Internationaler Bach Wettbewerb Leipzig, links=no) is a music competition in Leipzig, Germany, held by the Bach-Archiv Leipzig. Jan Ladislav Dussek (baptized Jan Václav Dusík, Černušák, p. 271 with surname also written as Duschek or Düssek; 12 February 176020 March 1812) was a Czech classical composer and pianist. He was an important representative of Czech music abroad in the second half of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. The Beethoven House (German: ''Beethoven-Haus'') in Bonn, Germany, is a memorial site, museum and cultural institution serving various purposes.
