Olga Sergeevna Kucherenko (russian: Ольга Сергеевна Кучеренко; born 5 November 1985) is a Russian long jumper. Career She won the bronze medal at the 2009 European Indoor Championships. She also competed at the 2008 World Indoor Championships without reaching the final. Her personal best jump is 7.13 metres, achieved in May 2010 in Sochi. The 14th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (Moscow 2013) () was an international athletics competition held in Moscow, Russia, from 10–18 August 2013. Initially, Russia won the most gold medals to top the table for the first time since 2001. It was also the first time ever the host nation took the top of the medal table. The 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held at Scandinavium and Svenska Mässan in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 1–3 March 2013. Bidding process The decision to grant the event for Gothenburg was made by the European Athletics Council at their long meeting in Malta on October 15, 2007. Initially, Gothenburg applied for the 2011 Championships against Paris. The European Athletic Association thought the two cities presented very good concepts, and it ended up with the two candidates get one championship each; Paris in 2011 and Gothenburg in 2013. 2011 World Championships In Athletics – Women's Long Jump
The women's long jump event at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Daegu Stadium on August 27 and 28. Reigning world champion Brittney Reese was the pre-event favourite as she held the best mark that year (7.19 m) and led on the Diamond League circuit. Russia's Darya Klishina and Olga Zaytseva were the only ones to have cleared seven metres that season, while Americans Funmi Jimoh and Janay DeLoach were the only jumpers to have defeated Reese on the circuit. The women's long jump at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Olympic Stadium on 21 and 23 August. In the final, Olympic champion Maurren Higa Maggi took the early lead as the first jumper in the competition. After three fouls, the second legal jump of the competition took Brittney Reese into the lead with a 6.92m. Tatyana Lebedeva's second round 6.97m put her into the lead for six jumps until Reese could take her third jump. Her season best tying settled the competition. No athlete improved over the final three rounds. In 2017, silver medalist Lebedeva's 2008 Olympic doping sample was retested and found positive for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (turinabol).
