Olena Voronina
Olena Oleksandrivna Voronina ( uk, Олена Олександрівна Вороніна; born 5 May 1990) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. She is the 2013 World team champion, 2015 European individual bronze medalist, and 2016 Olympic team silver medalist. Life and career Voronina won a gold medal in the women's team sabre at the 2013 World Fencing Championships. She and the Ukrainian team won bronze in 2014 and silver in 2015. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Voronina won the silver medal with team members Olha Kharlan, Alina Komashchuk, and Olena Kravatska. Voronina lives in Kharkiv, Ukraine. 2013 Summer Universiade
The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (russian: XXVII Летняя Универсиада), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. The Universiade was organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and by the authorities of the Russian Federation. Olena Vitaliyivna Kravatska ( uk, Олена Віталіївна Краватська; born 22 June 1992) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. Competing in team events, she is the 2015 World silver medalist and 2016 Olympic silver medalist. Career Kravatska won a silver medal in the 2010 Junior European Championships and a team gold medal the same year in the Junior World Championships. In the 2013–14 season she took part in her first major competition amongst seniors. At the European Championships in Strasbourg, she ranked 2nd after the pools and received a bye. She was then defeated in the table of 32 by Germany's Sibylle Klemm and finished 17th. Alina Ivanivna Komashchuk ( uk, Аліна Іванівна Комащук; born 24 April 1993) is a Ukrainian sabre fencer. Competing in team events, she is the 2013 World champion and 2016 Olympic silver medalist. Career In April 2013, Komashchuk won the gold medal in the Women's Sabre at the 2013 Junior and Cadet World Championship, held in the Croatian town of Poreč. On August 12, 2013 she won the Gold medal (with Olha Kharlan, Halyna Pundyk and Olena Voronina) at the Women's team sabre at the 2013 World Fencing Championships in Budapest, Hungary. During the 2012–13 season Komashchuk was ranked 4th in the World in the Women's Junior Individual Sabre classement by the Federation Internationale d'Escrime (FIE). Olha Hennadiyivna Kharlan ( uk, Ольга Геннадіївна Харлан; born 4 September 1990) is a Ukrainian right-handed sabre fencer. Kharlan is a two-time team European champion, six-time individual European champion, two-time team world champion, and four-time individual world champion. A four-time Olympian, Kharlan is a 2016 team Olympic silver medalist, 2008 team Olympic champion, and two-time individual Olympic bronze medalist. Kharlan competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the 2012 London Olympic Games, the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
