Oleg Moliboga
Oleg Alekseyevich Moliboga (russian: Олег Алексеевич Молибога, ua, Олег Олексійович Молибога; 27 February 1953 – 9 June 2022) was a Soviet volleyball player and Russian volleyball coach. Born in Dnipropetrovsk, he participated in the 1976 Summer Olympics and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. In 1976, Moliboga was part of the Soviet team that won the silver medal in the Olympic tournament. He played all five matches. Four years later, in 1980, he won the gold medal with the Soviet team in the 1980 Olympic tournament. He played all six matches. Moliboga was one of the preeminent players of the 1970s and the early 1980s, training at the Armed Forces sports society in Dnipropetrovsk Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants. Volleyball Players At The 1976 Summer Olympics
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court.
