Ole Johannes Kløv
Ole Johannes Kløv (12 March 1925 – 9 July 2009) was a Norwegian trade unionist and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Tønsberg as a son of seaman Hjalmar Kløv (1899–1973) and housewife Konstanse Johanson (1901–1989). He spent his entire working career, from 1943 to 1990, as a welder at Kaldnes Mekaniske Verksted. He chaired his local trade union from 1953 to 1957 and 1966 to 1970, was a member of the company's corporate council, and was a national board member of the Norwegian Union of Iron and Metalworkers from 1968 to 1984 and a board member of ''Tønsberg og omland faglige samorg''. He held several public posts, including the period as chairman of the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority from 1976 to 1979. He chaired his local party chapter in 1961 and from 1973 to 1977. Tønsberg
Tønsberg , historically Tunsberg, is a city and municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, eastern Norway, located around south-southwest of Oslo on the western coast of the Oslofjord near its mouth onto the Skagerrak. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Tønsberg. The city is the most populous metropolis in the district of Vestfold with a population of 52,419 in 2019. The municipality has a population of 56,293 and covers an area of in 2020. Tønsberg also serves as the seat for the County Governor of Vestfold og Telemark. The Norwegian Union of Iron and Metalworkers ( no, Norsk Jern- og Metallarbeiderforbund, NJMF) was a trade union representing workers in the metal industry, workshops, and shipbuilding in Norway. The union was founded in 1891, and in 1905 it joined the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions. In 1907, it came to the country's first collective agreement, with the National Association of Mechanical Workshops. In 1960, the union absorbed the Norwegian Union of Foundry Workers, followed in 1985 by the Norwegian Union of Gold Workers. By 1987, it had 97,998 members. The Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority ( no, Arbeidstilsynet) is a Norwegian government agency under the Ministry of Labour. It is responsible for supervising the implementation of the Working Environment Act, the Annual Holidays Act, the National Holidays Act, and certain sections of the Smoking Act. Nøtterøy
Nøtterøy is an island and a former municipality in the present-day municipality of Færder in Vestfold and Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Borgheim. The parish of ''Nøtterø'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Two islands were later transferred from the municipality of Stokke to Nøtterøy: Håøya (in 1901) and Veierland (in 1964). The whole municipality was made up of a small island group south of Tønsberg municipality, including the islands of Nøtterøy, Føynland, Veierland, and about 175 smaller islands. Nøtterøy includes the villages of Borgheim, Glomstein, Teie, and Torød. As 2010, 16,418 of the municipality lived within the town of Tønsberg, an urban area shared between the two municipalities. Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Vestfold was the only county in which all municipalities had declared Bokmål to be their sole official written form of the Norwegian language.
