Olavo Bilac
Olavo Brás Martins dos Guimarães Bilac (16 December 1865 – 28 December 1918), known simply as Olavo Bilac (), was a Brazilian Parnassianism, Parnassian poet, journalist and translator. Alongside Alberto de Oliveira and Raimundo Correia, he was a member of the "Parnassian Triad". He was elected the "Prince of Brazilian Poets" in 1907 by the magazine ''Fon-Fon''. He wrote the lyrics of the Brazilian Flag Anthem. He founded and occupied the 15th chair of the Academia Brasileira de Letras, Brazilian Academy of Letters from 1897 until his death in 1918. He is also the patron of the military service in Brazil due to his campaigns in favor of conscription. Life Bilac was born in Rio de Janeiro to Brás Martins dos Guimarães Bilac and Delfina Belmira Gomes de Paula. Olavo Yépez Obando (20 August 1937 – 17 May 2021) was an Ecuadorian chess master. He was born in San Gabriel in the Carchi province of Ecuador. Yépez won the Ecuadorian Chess Championship at Pichincha 1962, took 9th at Mar del Plata 1962 ( Torneo Latino-americano, Raimundo García won), tied for 3rd–6th at Havana 1966 (Pan American Chess Championship, Eleazar Jiménez won), played at Caracas 1967 (zonal, Miguel Cuéllar won), took 2nd, behind Silvino Garcia Martinez, at Santa Clara 1968, shared 1st with Eleazar Jiménez Zerquera at Quito/Guayaquil 1969 (zonal), took 15th at Caracas 1970 (Oscar Panno, Leonid Stein and Lubomir Kavalek won), took 3rd at Caracas 1973 (Kenneth Frey Beckman won), and took 2nd, behind Jorge Rubinetti, at Quito 1975. Olavo Setúbal
Olavo Egídio Setúbal (16 April 1923 – 27 August 2008) was a Brazilian industrialist, banker and politician. He was Mayor of São Paulo from 1975 to 1979, Minister of External Relations from 1985 to 1986, and chairman of the Itaúsa conglomerate from 2001 until his death in 2008. Early life Olavo Setúbal was born in São Paulo. His surname comes from the city Setúbal in Portugal, where his great-grandfather was born. He decided to become an engineer at an early age, against the wishes of his father Paulo, a successful bohemian writer, who advised Olavo to become a lawyer instead.
