Olav Berntsen Oksvik
Olav Berntsen Oksvik (7 May 1887 – 16 September 1958) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour and Social Democratic Labour parties. He served as a member of the Parliament of Norway from 1928 until 1952 and then as the County Governor of Møre og Romsdal county from 1952 until his death in 1958. In 1928 he helped launch the newspaper '' Romsdal Folkeblad''. In January 1941 he was ordered by Nasjonal Samling to become mayor of the municipality of Bolsøy, which he categorically refused. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The Minister of Agriculture and Food ( no, Landbruks- og matministeren) is a councilor of state and chief of the Norway's Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The ministry is responsible for issues related to agriculture, forestry and food. It was released between 1985 and 1990 by Tiden Norsk Forlag. It was not the first work about the history of the Norwegian labour movement. Einhart Lorenz released the two-volume work ''Arbeiderbevegelsens historie. En innføring. Norsk sosialisme i internasjonalt perspektiv'' in 1972 and 1974. This time, a large work was planned because of the 100th anniversary of the Norwegian Labour Party in 1987. As such, it is a party history combined with the history of other important parties as well as the trade union movement. Bolsøy
Bolsøy is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality of Bolsøy encompassed the area around the Fannefjorden including most of the present-day Molde Municipality, excluding the town of Molde. The municipality also included the Molde Archipelago and the island of Bolsøya. The administrative center of the municipality was located on the island of Bolsøya near the location of the main church for the parish, Bolsøy Church. History The parish of Bolsøy was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt law). According to the 1835 census, Bolsøy had a population of 2,391. Nasjonal Samling (, NS; ) was a Norwegian far-right political party active from 1933 to 1945. It was the only legal party of Norway from 1942 to 1945. It was founded by former minister of defence Vidkun Quisling and a group of supporters such as Johan Bernhard Hjortwho led the party's paramilitary wing (''Hirden'') for a short time before leaving the party in 1937 after various internal conflicts. The party celebrated its founding on 17 May, Norway's national holiday, but was founded on 13 May 1933. ''Romsdal Folkeblad'' was a Norwegian Labor Party newspaper published in Molde from 1928 until its bankruptcy in 1987. Its circulation was just under 5,000. Launched in 1928, the paper was one of several local newspapers started up in the 1920s. The politician Olav Oksvik was one of the central figures in launching the newspaper.
