''Ola Kala'' ( el, Όλα Καλά; ''Everything's Fine'') is the eighth studio album and first international album featuring a number of English language songs by popular Greek singer-songwriter Sakis Rouvas, originally released on June 16, 2002, in Greece and Cyprus by Minos EMI. International songwriter and producer Desmond Child is the main producer of the album. The album was certified Gold eleven days after its release in Greece, while it eventually was certified Platinum shortly after. Anastasios "Sakis" Rouvas ( el, Αναστάσιος "Σάκης" Ρουβάς, ; born 5 January 1972), also known mononymously as Sakis, is a Greek singer, film and television actor, businessman and former pole vaulter and model. Born in Corfu, he won medals on the national athletics team during the 1980s. Rouvas began a musical career in 1991 as one of Greece's first dance-pop performers. His tenor vocals, complex choreography, costumes, and technological advancements have been credited with transforming music videos and live performances. Mike Brant
Mike Brant (born Moshe Michael Brand, he, משה מיכאל ברנד, 1 February 1947 – 25 April 1975) was an Israeli singer and songwriter who achieved fame after moving to France. His most successful hit was "Laisse-moi t'aimer" ("Let Me Love You"). Brant died by suicide at the height of his career by jumping from a window of an apartment in Paris. Eric M. Bazilian (born July 21, 1953) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer. Bazilian is a founding member of the rock band The Hooters. He wrote " One of Us", a song first recorded by Joan Osborne in 1995. "Shake It" is a song recorded by Greek singer Sakis Rouvas, written by Nikos Terzis and Nektarios Tirakis. It is best known as the entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2004, in Istanbul. Background The song is an up-tempo number, fully in English language, with Rouvas telling his lover that "I would trade my life for a night with you" and asking the lover to "shake it" for him. The lyrics were somewhat controversial as it was thought to be about sex, with "shake it" referring to the wiggling movements of the male genitalia. Rouvas declined these claims.
