Oid (album)
John Graham is a British record producer, songwriter, vocalist who is also known under the pseudonyms Quivver, Skanna, Stoneproof and Space Manoeuvres. He was a former member of music production team Tilt and has recorded and toured with the Welsh electronic group, Hybrid in the past. History John Graham began music production in the early 1990s. Originally, he produced and released several tunes under the name Globe before releasing several darkside jungle singles under the name Skanna. With Neil Barry, under the alias of "Quivver", he released "Saxy Lady" and "Twist & Shout" on A&M Records Lt. UK. Again under the Quivver name he released "Believe in Me" on Perfecto Records. Later, he joined Parks & Wilson as part of Tilt, who produced the top 20 hit "Invisible". In 1999, Graham left Tilt to pursue a solo career. I Choose Noise
''I Choose Noise'' is the third studio album by British progressive breakbeat band Hybrid, released on 4 September 2006 by Distinct'ive Records. The album included recorded symphonic sequences by the Seattle Session Orchestra, and was produced in collaboration with composer Harry Gregson-Williams. Background The album was released in the UK on 4 September 2006 and in the United States on 10 October 2006. Although a bonus disc featuring Hybrid's live show at God's Global Gathering was intended to be included, it was omitted due to time constraints and may be released separately. Hybrid's track "Sleepwalking" was also originally intended for ''I Choose Noise'', but was omitted because it was felt not to fit into the album. Lost Language
Hooj Choons is a house record label formed by Alex Simons and Red Jerry (real name Jeremy Dickens) in 1990. The first release was "Carnival de Casa" by Rio Rhythm Band, however, it was not until 1992's release of Felix's "Don't You Want Me", which Red Jerry and Faithless founder-member Rollo co-produced, that Hooj Choons had their first crossover hit. Over the next ten years, Hooj Choons had several notable releases including productions from artists such as Diss-Cuss, Tilt, Oliver Lieb and JX. The label built up a roster of popular club hits and smaller underground classics over 20 years. Dissolution In 2003, Hooj announced its dissolution as a record label. Hooj Choons was dissolved having released 136 singles plus a dozen or so album-length compilations. Kinetic Records was a New York City-based record label founded by Steve Lau (founding member of Sire Records act the Ocean Blue), and co-owned with Alyson Shapero. The label launched the careers of artists and DJs such as Paul Oakenfold, BT, Ray Munns, Deepsky, Kosheen, Tilt, Timo Maas, Grace, Sandra Collins, Billy Thermal, Binary Finary, and Shpongle. Other successful artists on the label included Ash, Sasha and John Digweed, South, Faithless, DJ DAN, LTJ Bukem, Dario G, Luomo, Infected Mushroom, Max Graham, Dave Ralph Music Instructor, and Hybrid. Tranceport
Tranceport is a trance music DJ mix album series. The series debuted in November 1998 with Paul Oakenfold's ''Tranceport'', released on Kinetic Records. The album featured many trance songs that were receiving a lot of dance club play at the time, including Three Drives on a Vinyl's ''Greece 2000'' and the Paul van Dyk remix of Binary Finary's popular ''1998''. Tranceport is widely regarded among electronic music listeners as one of the best trance albums ever released. The later releases in the series were based on this template. DJs featured in this series included Dave Ralph and Quivver (''Tranceport 2'' and ''Transport 5'', respectively). After Vol. 3, the series changed its name to ''Transport'' to better reflect the evolving popular club sounds and the incorporation of genres other than trance. Twilo
Twilo was an American nightclub in operation from 1995 to 2001 in New York City and from 2006 to 2007 in Miami. The New York location at 530 West 27th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan regularly attracted a crowd of thousands to its warehouse-like dance floor. Playing host to dozens of DJs from around the world, the club was important in popularizing international styles of house and trance music within the United States.
