Ohiya Casino Resort
Ohiya ( si, ඔහිය) is a rural village located in Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka. It is much closer to the Horton Plains National Park. The picturesque Colombo -Badulla Railway runs through Ohiya. Ohiya is in the Welimada Divisional Secretariat Division and the Grama Niladhari Division number is 62A. Ohiya is one of the most scenic places in Sri Lanka. On a clear day the view from the Ohiya Gap/Dondra Watch extends up to the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Pattipola Railway Station
Pattipola railway station is the 66th station on the Main Line, and is away from Colombo. It is the highest railway station in Sri Lanka with an elevation of high above mean sea level. Idalgashinna
Idalgashinna ( si, ඉදල්ගස්හින්න, ta, இதல்கஸ்ஹின்ன) is a small village in the Badulla District, Uva Province, Sri Lanka. Situated at an elevation of about above sea level, it is located in the Haputale-Namunukula mountain range. The area is home to the Idalgashinna Estate, with the closest large town being Haputale, about 9km south on the railway. Between the two locales lies the Thangamale Bird Sanctuary. A waterfall is a point in a river or stream where water flows over a vertical drop or a series of steep drops. Waterfalls also occur where meltwater drops over the edge of a tabular iceberg or ice shelf. Bambarakanda Falls
Bambarakanda Falls (also known as Bambarakele Falls) is the tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. With a height of , it ranks as the 461st highest waterfall in the world. Dondra Head Lighthouse
Dondra Head Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Dondra Head, Dondra, the southernmost point in Sri Lanka and is Sri Lanka's tallest lighthouse, and also one of the tallest in South East Asia. Dondra Head lighthouse is operated and maintained by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority. The lighthouse is near the village of Dondra, and is approximately southeast of Matara. The name Dondra is a synonym for "Devi-Nuwara" in the local Sinhala language, "Devi" meaning "Gods" and "Nuwara" meaning "City". Dondra is therefore derived to mean "City of the Gods". Badulla
Badulla ( si, බදුල්ල, ta, பதுளை) is the capital and the largest city of Uva Province situated in the lower central hills of Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of Uva Province and the Badulla District. Geography Badulla is located in the southeast of Kandy, almost encircled by the Badulu Oya River, about above sea level and is surrounded by tea plantations. The city is overshadowed by the Namunukula range of mountains (highest peak above sea level).
