Geography Located in the southwestern part of the county along the Ohio River, it borders the following townships: * Pierce Township - north * Monroe Township - southeast *Campbell County, Kentucky lies across the Ohio River to the southwest. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. It is a type of gazetteer. It was developed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with the United States Board on Geographic Names (BGN) to promote the standardization of feature names. New Richmond, also known as New Richmond on the Ohio, is a village in Ohio and Pierce townships in Clermont County, Ohio, United States, founded in 1814, along the Ohio River. The population was 2,582 at the 2010 census. Geography New Richmond is located at (38.955086, -84.281720). The village is located within Ohio Township, with the exception of the Beckjord Power Station, which lies within Pierce Township. History New Richmond was once the largest and most flourishing village in Clermont County.
