State Route 644 (SR 644) is a north–south state highway running through Columbiana and Carroll counties in northeast Ohio. Its southern terminus is at SR 39 in downtown Salineville, and its northern terminus is at its junction with U.S. Route 30(US 30) and SR 9 in the center of Kensington. The route connects mainly rural and a few unincorporated parts of southeastern Columbiana County. SR 644 only briefly passes into a corner of Carroll County for a journey. Route description The starting point of SR 644 is its junction with SR 39 in the Columbiana County village of Salineville, at the intersection of Main Street and Lincoln Street. West Point, Columbiana County, Ohio
West Point is an unincorporated community in northern Madison Township, Columbiana County, Ohio, United States. A former coal town, it lies along U.S. Route 30 at its intersection with State Routes 45 and 518, it has the ZIP code 44492. It is part of the Salem micropolitan area. History West Point was not officially platted. It grew as a community along the Youngstown and Ohio River Railroad, and was home to the railroad's coal power plant in the early 20th century. A post office called West Point had been in operation from 1836 to 1903, and again from 1955 until 2018. State Route 518 (SR 518) is an east–west state highway located entirely in Columbiana County in northeast Ohio. The western terminus of SR 518 is at SR 644 north of Summitville. Its eastern terminus is at the concurrency of U.S. Route 30 (US 30) and SR 45 near West Point. Originally created in the late 1930s, SR 518 runs through rural portions of Columbiana County. It passes through scattered small unincorporated communities along the way.
