Ohio State Route 108
State Route 108 (SR 108) is a state route that runs between SR 15 and the Michigan state line in the US state of Ohio. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both farmland and residential properties. The highway was first signed in 1938 on much the same alignment as today. SR 108 replaced the SR 33 and SR 188 designation of the highway which dated back to 1923. SR 188 ran between Ottawa and Holgate and SR 33 ran between Holgate and the Michigan state line. Some of the highway was paved in 1923, with the rest of the route being paved in 1929. Route description SR 108 begins at an intersection with SR 15, in rural Putnam County. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT; ) is the administrative department of the Ohio state government responsible for developing and maintaining all state and U.S. roadways outside of municipalities and all Interstates except the Ohio Turnpike. State Route 613 (SR 613) is an east–west state highway in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at the Indiana state line west of Payne (the route once continued west in Indiana as State Road 14), and its eastern terminus is at US 23 in Fostoria. Route description From the Indiana state line, State Route 613 follows a generally easterly direction through small towns such as Payne, Oakwood, and Continental. It shares a route with State Route 634 for before entering Continental. The National Highway System (NHS) is a network of strategic highways within the United States, including the Interstate Highway System and other roads serving major airports, ports, military bases, rail or truck terminals, railway stations, pipeline terminals and other strategic transport facilities. M-156 (Michigan Highway)
M-156 is a state trunkline highway in the US state of Michigan. The highway is entirely within Lenawee County and begins in Morenci at the Ohio state line with State Route 108 (SR 108) and runs north to M-34 at Clayton. The highway runs through farm land along Lime Creek outside of the two communities, providing access to the Lake Hudson State Recreation Area. The trunkline dates back to the early 1930s, and has been unchanged since a realignment in 1980. Route description SR 108 crosses into Michigan on the southern edge of Morenci where it becomes M-156. Ohio Turnpike
The Ohio Turnpike, officially the James W. Shocknessy Ohio Turnpike, is a limited-access toll highway in the U.S. state of Ohio, serving as a primary corridor between Chicago and Pittsburgh. The road runs east–west in the northern section of the state, with the western end at the Indiana–Ohio border near Edon where it meets the Indiana Toll Road, and the eastern end at the Ohio–Pennsylvania border near Petersburg, where it meets the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Ohio State Route 2
State Route 2 (SR 2), formerly known as Inter-county Highway 2 until 1921 and State Highway 2 in 1922, is an east–west highway crossing most of northern Ohio. Its western terminus is at the Indiana state line near Hicksville where the route becomes Indiana State Road 37 which continues to Fort Wayne, Indiana. The eastern terminus of the route is in Painesville Township in Lake County at U.S. Route 20 (US 20). State Route 424 (SR 424) was an east–west state highway in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The route was a former section of US 24 that ran parallel to the Maumee River and Miami and Erie Canal between the cities of Defiance and Napoleon. First designated in 1964, the western terminus of the route for most of its history was at an intersection with US 24 west of Defiance, though between 2008 and when the route was fully removed from the state highway system in 2012, it was at the Defiance County/ Henry County line. Ohio State Route 110
State Route 110 (SR 110) is a state route that runs between Napoleon and north of McClure in the US state of Ohio. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both farmland and commercial properties. For much of its path, SR 110 runs generally parallel to the south of the Maumee River. The highway was first signed in 1923 on much the same alignment as today, bur got as far northeast as Perrysburg. SR 110 was moved to the north side of the Maumee River in 1927. In 1931, the eastern terminus of the route was moved to Grand Rapids. The route was moved back to the south side of the river and the route was extended to Bowling Green in 1942. The eastern terminus of SR 110 was moved to the intersection with SR 65 in 1958. Concurrency (road)
A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. Concurrent numbering can become very common in jurisdictions that allow it. Where multiple routes must pass between a single mountain crossing or over a bridge, or through a major city, it is often economically and practically advantageous for them all to be accommodated on a single physical roadway.
