Keith Faber
Keith Faber is an American politician from Ohio. A Republican, he has been State Auditor of Ohio in 2019. He was formerly a member of the Ohio House of Representatives (2001-2007), elected from the 84th district, and then a member of the Ohio State Senate (2007-2016), elected from the 12th District. He was president of the Ohio Senate from 2013 to 2016. Life and career With incumbent Jim Buchy unable to run for another term in the House in 2000, Faber sought to replace him. He faced a primary race with fellow Republican Terry Haworth, and won by about 1,300 votes. He defeated Democrat Bill Sell in the general election by about 14,000 votes. He won reelection in 2002, 2004, and 2006. When Jim Jordan vacated his state Senate seat after winning a seat in Congress, Faber was one of seven who sought to replace him, along with Derrick Seaver, Gene Krebs, Robert J. Oviatt Cole was a Republican politician in the U.S. State of Ohio who was Ohio State Auditor 1863–1864. When Ohio State Auditor Robert Walker Tayler, Sr. resigned in 1863 to take another position, Oviatt Cole of Medina County, Ohio was appointed by Governor Tod to fill the office. At the Republican State Convention later in 1863, Cole lost on the first ballot to James H. Godman for the nomination for Auditor. Roger Cloud
Roger Ellwood Cloud (December 4, 1909 – April 20, 1988), was an American politician of the Republican party who represented Ohio in several capacities. Having worked as a farmer and a factory worker, Cloud won election to the local school board in DeGraff. In 1940, he won office as a county commissioner in Logan County, Ohio. He served in this office from 1941 to 1949. In 1948, Cloud ran successfully for a seat in the Ohio House of Representatives, serving from 1949. Cloud held the office of Speaker of the House from 1955 to 1959 and from 1961 to 1967. In 1965, Ohio State Auditor Roger W. Tracy died and Governor James A. Rhodes appointed Chester W. Goble as a temporary replacement. Rhodes chose Cloud to complete Tracy's term as auditor and in 1966, Cloud was elected to the position and served in that office from 1967 to 1971. James Allen Rhodes (September 13, 1909 – March 4, 2001) was an American Republican politician who served as Governor of Ohio from 1963 to 1971 and again from 1975 to 1983. , Rhodes was one of only seven U.S. governors to serve four four-year terms in office. Emil Kiesewetter
Emil Kiesewetter (pronunciation unknown) (May 15, 1845 – October 28, 1924) was a Democratic politician in the U.S. State of Ohio. He was the Ohio State Auditor 1884–1888. Kiesewetter was born at Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio on May 15, 1845. His parents were Theodore and Joanna E. Kiesewetter, natives of Germany, who had emigrated to Franklin County in 1844. They stayed at Prairie Township until 1849, when they moved to Columbus, the state capital, in that county. The mother died in 1850 and the father died in 1874. At age 12, Kiesewetter began working at a Columbus hotel. He later attended the Columbus Commercial College, where he studied bookkeeping. He worked in that field until 1862. On September 30, 1862, Kiesewetter enlisted as a private in Company B, 46th Ohio Infantry during the American Civil War. At the Battle of Resaca, he was severely injured in the left hip May 14, 1864.
