Oh Well (band)
Oh Well were a German dance group that were active in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Their protagonists were the German record producers, Alexander Henninger and Achim Völker. They were relatively successful during their peak in 1989, but broke up soon after, due to a lack of further chart success. The group had two UK chart singles in 1989 and 1990: the eponymous " Oh Well", a dance cover of the 1969 Fleetwood Mac song of the same name, released in late 1989. It peaked at number 28 on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in October 1989. Their second single, a cover of Golden Earring's "Radar Love", was released in early 1990, and peaked at number 65 on 3 March 1990. Oh Well (song)
"Oh Well" is a song first recorded by the rock band Fleetwood Mac in 1969, composed by vocalist and lead guitarist Peter Green. It first appeared as a Fleetwood Mac single in various countries in 1969 and subsequently appeared on revised versions of that year's '' Then Play On'' album and the band's '' Greatest Hits'' album in 1971. The song was later featured on the 1992 boxed set ''25 Years – The Chain'', on the 2002 compilation album ''The Best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac'', and on the 2018 compilation ''50 Years – Don't Stop''. "Oh Well" was composed in two parts, with "Part 1" as a fast electric blues song with vocals (lasting 2:19), and "Part 2" as an entirely different instrumental piece with a classical influence (lasting 5:39). The original 1969 single features the first minute of "Part 2" as a fade-out coda to the A-side and then "Part 2" begins again on the B-side. Later releases varied in length. Extraordinary Machine
''Extraordinary Machine'' is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Fiona Apple, released by Epic Records in the United States on October 4, 2005. Produced by Jon Brion, it was expected to be released in 2003 but was delayed several times by the record label without explanation, leading to speculation that a dispute had arisen over its commercial appeal. The controversy surrounding the album and leaked recordings of the Jon Brion sessions were the subject of substantial press attention, as well as a highly publicized fan-led campaign to see the album officially released. In collaboration with producers Mike Elizondo and Brian Kehew, Apple re-recorded the album over 2004 and 2005, and it was eventually released more than three years after the original recording sessions began. The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2006. In 2009, ''Extraordinary Machine'' was named the 49th best album of the 2000s by ''Rolling Stone'', and in 2020 was ...
