Oh No It Isn't!
''Oh No It Isn't!'' is a novel published in 1997 by Paul Cornell from the Virgin New Adventures featuring the fictional archaeologist Bernice Summerfield. The New Adventures were a series of novels based on the long-running British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', made by the BBC. They had originally been licensed ''Doctor Who'' stories, but in the wake of the return of ''Doctor Who'' to television screens with the 1996 movie, the BBC did not renew publisher Virgin Books' licence. Virgin had for some time planned for a spin-off series based on the characters and settings created in the ''Doctor Who'' New Adventures. With the licence gone, they continued the monthly release schedule of the New Adventures, but switched to stories featuring the character of Bernice Summerfield (known as Benny), beginning with ''Oh No It Isn't!''. Jon Sullivan (artist)
Jonathan Harold Sullivan (10 November 1950 – 17 January 2021) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the Australian House of Representatives from 2007 to 2010, representing the seat of Longman for the Australian Labor Party. He had also previously served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1989 to 1998, representing the seat of Glass House from 1989 to 1992, and Caboolture from 1992 to 1998. Sullivan won the seat of Longman for the Labor Party from the Liberal Party at the 2007 federal election. Sullivan defeated government minister Mal Brough. Brigadier Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, generally referred to simply as the Brigadier, is a fictional character in the British science fiction television series ''Doctor Who'', created by writers Mervyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln and played by Nicholas Courtney. William Nicholas Stone Courtney (16 December 1929 – 22 February 2011) was an Egyptian-born British actor. He was known for his long-running role as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart in the BBC science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. Early life Courtney was born in Cairo, Egypt, the son of a British diplomat father and half-American mother. His paternal grandfather was the journalist William Leonard Courtney. He was educated in France, Kenya and Egypt. On his maternal side, Courtney was descended from New Zealand politician John Cuff. Lisa Bowerman (born 1 February 1962) is a British actress. She is best known for portraying Sandra Mute, the paramedic, in the BBC One medical drama ''Casualty'', in the first two series (1986–1987). The ''Virgin New Adventures'' (NA series, or NAs) are a series of novels from Virgin Publishing based on the British Science fiction on television, science-fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. They continued the story of the Doctor from the point at which the television programme went into hiatus from television in 1989. From 1991 to 1997, all the books except the final one involved the Seventh Doctor, who was portrayed on television by Sylvester McCoy; the final book, ''The Dying Days'', involved the Eighth Doctor, who was portrayed in Doctor Who (film), the 1996 television film by Paul McGann.
