Isoko North
Isoko North is one of two Local Government Areas (LGA) in the Isoko region of Delta State, southern Nigeria – the other being Isoko South. The population of Isoko North was approximately 112,000 as of 2003. Its headquarters are in the town of Ozoro which has 14,000 seater capacity Olympic size stadium at the Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro. There are 13 Electoral Wards in the Local Government Area. Major towns in Isoko North are Ozoro, Owhelogbo, Otor Owhe, Oghara-Iyede and Emevor. The people are mostly Christian and traditional worshippers. Isoko North contains oil producing regions, and is the location of some of the recent conflict in the Niger Delta. Oghara is a town located in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. Educational institutions Oghara is home to several known educational institutions in Nigeria. The town is home to the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara; Western Delta University, Oghara; Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara; Oghareki Model Secondary School, Oghareki; Ogini Grammar school, Uherevie Primary School and Ogharefe Secondary School -Ogharefe. Sunny Ofehe
Sunny Ofehe is a Nigeria-born, Dutch environmental rights activist and political candidate whose activities focus on the environmental degradation in the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He was a Governorship aspirant in the 2019 Nigerian Governorship election in the oil rich Delta State under the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Party. Early life and education Sunny Oghale Ofehe was born on 1 February 1972 in Lagos, Nigeria, to Chief Bernard Aghogho and Theresa Ofehe of Iyede, Isoko North Council area of Delta State. Ofehe completed his primary education at Ogelle Primary School, Ughelli, Delta State in 1983. His secondary education was completed at Unity School Agbarho also in Delta State in 1988.
