Off The Ball (media Company)
OTB Sports (formerly known as Off the Ball) is an Irish media company, comprising a podcast network, website, daily radio show on nationwide broadcaster Newstalk 106-108fm and web-based live digital broadcast. It is on air seven days a week. Primarily a sports news review, opinion and analysis show, it has also produced video documentaries on sporting topics. Format OTB Sports broadcasts a three-hour long sports review and analysis show from 7pm on Monday to Thursday on Newstalk, nationwide across Ireland and online. The show is also live from 7pm on Friday for two hours, and from 1pm on Saturday and Sunday for five hours. OTB AM, which launched in October 2017, is a digital sports news review and discussion show. It is available on various platforms including YouTube, Facebook and on the OTB Sports app. It is presented Monday to Thursday by Ger Gilroy and Eoin Sheahan, and on Friday by Sheahan and Adrian Barry. Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Andy Lee (boxer)
Andy Lee (born 11 June 1984) is an Irish former professional boxer who competed from 2006 to 2017. He held the WBO middleweight title from 2014 to 2015, and in doing so became the first member of the travelling community to win a major world title. He is the second cousin of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. During his professional career, Lee was trained by the late Emmanuel Steward. Early life Lee was born in Bow, London, England, to Irish Traveller parents. In 1998, his parents returned to Castleconnell, County Limerick in Ireland with their six children. ''The Herald'' is a nationwide mid-market tabloid newspaper headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and published by Independent News & Media who are a subsidiary of Mediahuis. It is published Monday–Saturday. The newspaper was known as the ''Evening Herald'' until its name was changed in 2013. The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) is a national organisation that administers the performing right in copyright music in Ireland on behalf of its members (who are songwriters, composers and music publishers) and on behalf of the songwriters, composers and music publishers of the international overseas societies that are affiliated to it. Colm "Wooly" Parkinson (born 1978 in Meelick, Portlaoise) is a retired Irish Gaelic footballer, and journalist. Playing career Club Parkinson was a decorated underage player with Portlaoise, winning county titles at every underage grade before graduating to the senior team in 1997. In his first year at senior level, Portlaoise reached the county final losing to Stradbally. He would win his first title 2 years later in 1999, scoring 0–03 in a narrow win against St Josephs. It was Portlaoise's first county title since 1991. He starred again for Portlaoise in the 2001 final, scoring 1-02 as Portlaoise beat a fancied St. Josephs side. Second Captains is an Irish media company established in March 2013 by Eoin McDevitt, Ken Early, Mark Horgan, Ciarán Murphy and Simon Hick. Best-known for their podcast ''The Second Captains World Service'', the company specialises in television, radio and online production and currently broadcasts from their Dublin studios. Second Captains was the first major radio show to move from traditional programming to podcasting in Ireland and remains the most popular podcast ever produced in Ireland. Kenneth Early (born 4 February 1979) is an Irish journalist and broadcaster. As of 2013, he was a director of Second Captains and a host of both Second Captains @ The Irish Times and the television show Second Captains Live on RTÉ 2. He is also a columnist with The Irish Times. He is a Shamrock Rovers fan who started supporting them in the 1980s. He was chief football correspondent for Newstalk and was a key member of the station's ''Off The Ball'' football show.
