''Odysseus'' is the fourth studio album by Nigerian rapper and record producer Jesse Jagz. It was released on September 8, 2017, by Jagz Nation. The album features guest appearances from Hotyce, Styl-Plus, Cynthia Morgan, Melon and Burna Boy. Prior to releasing the album, Jesse Jagz released a number of singles in 2017, including "Midnight Vibes" and "New World". "Best in You" was released as the album's lead and only single. ''Odysseus'' draws influences from Caribbean sounds, supporting the dancehall identity that Jesse Jagz embraced on his second studio album ''Jagz Nation, Vol.1. Thy Nation Come'' (2013). Jesse Garba Abaga (born 10 August 1984), known professionally as Jesse Jagz, is a Nigerian rapper, record producer and songwriter. He signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 and released his debut studio album ''Jag of All Tradez'' that same year. He voluntarily exited the Chocolate City deal in 2013 and announced the launch of his independent label, Jagz Nation. Jagz released his second studio album ''Jagz Nation, Vol.1. Thy Nation Come'' in 2013; it included singles such as " Redemption", "Bad Girl", "Sex & Scotch" and "God on the Mic". His third studio album, '' Jagz Nation Vol. 2: Royal Niger Company'', was released in 2014. "Murder She Wrote" is a song by Jamaican reggae duet (music), duo Chaka Demus & Pliers, from their 1993 album ''Tease Me (album), Tease Me''. It was first released as a single in 1992 and again in late 1993, reaching number 27 on the UK Singles Chart in early 1994, and number 57 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, spending 17 weeks there. The song was certified gold in the UK in 2022. The music to the song is based on the Maytals' 1966 song "Bam Bam", while the lyrics discuss abortion (as revealed in the third verse).
