Odle Middle School
Odle Middle School is a public middle school in the Crossroads neighborhood of Bellevue, Washington, United States. The school is one of seven middle schools in the Bellevue School District and was named posthumously after Frank Odle, who taught in the district for 55 years before retiring in 1968. Odle is located near Stevenson Elementary, formerly a primary feeder elementary school for Odle. Odle is primarily known for its hosting of the ALS program, a gifted program for high-performing children. As of the 2022–23 school year, the school's principal is Joseph Potts and its assistant principals are Keith Altenhof and Danielle Virata. In the 2001–02 school year, Odle Middle School was one of two schools in the state to be awarded a Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education, the highest award an American school can receive. Alan Odle
Alan Elsden Odle (1888–1948) was an English illustrator, remembered today as the husband of the English novelist Dorothy Richardson, whom he married in 1917. His grotesque and subversive style was a precursor of surrealism. He illustrated an English edition of Voltaire's '' Candide'' (G. Routledge, 1922), Mark Twain's ''1601: A Tudor Fireside Conversation'', a salute to scatology and Elizabethan manners (London: Printed for Subscribers only, 1936), and ''The Mimiambs of Herondas''. He also designed the dust jacket for James Hanley's ''Ebb and Flow'' (London: John Lane, 1932), other Hanley novels for Lane, and Dorothy Richardson's ''Backwater'' (1916). He contributed to a number of periodicals such as ''The Gypsy'', ''The Golden Hind'' (1922–25), the US '' Vanity Fair'', '' The Studio'', and the UK ''Argosy''. Robert Odle
Robert C. Odle, Jr. (February 15, 1944 - October 2, 2019) was a public official in the Nixon Administration and Reagan Administration, and an American lawyer, based in Washington, D.C. Early life Odle was born in Port Huron, Michigan (February 15, 1944) and earned a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University in 1966. He then enrolled at the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law), earning his J.D. in 1969. Politics and government service Odle worked on the Nixon campaign in 1968, while still in law school, and after graduation in 1969 he joined the staff of White House communications director Herb Klein. He left the White House for the 1972 presidential campaign, serving as Director of Administration of the Committee to Re-Elect the President.
